Overprotective Pup(Roman)

Description: Alpha Roman is a bit overprotective of his new son causing him to fight with y/n his Omega. When he realizes he has been a bit of a dick he apologizes.

"How much longer until y/n delivers?"

"Any day now, she's at home resting at the moment I told her to take it easy until after he's here.."

Roman smiles as he walks through the woods with one of the top guys in his pack Seth.

"Shouldn't you be in wolf form tho so she'd be able to reach you better?"

"Yes, I suppose I should although she said that she doesn't think he'll come for another two or so days. But I can't collect wood with my paws so it's human form for now."

Seth nods as they continue walking along the path collecting more wood for their cabins. Chatting about the nursery they continue gathering the wood heading back towards the village. When a long loud howl sounds they stop dead in their tracks Seth quickly changes so he can ask what's happening.

"Y/n is getting ready to deliver her water broke!"

Dropping the wood Roman quickly changes into his wolf form running as fast as he possibly could with Seth by his side. The village soon comes into few racing to his cabin he turns back into his human form racing inside and up the stairs. Pushing open the bedroom door Roman quickly walks over kneeling by her side.

"I'm here baby girl shh."

"He's coming oh fuck I can't believe you put me through this."

She growls when a contraction hits Roman smiles grabbing a damp sponge wiping her face off.

"It usually takes two people to make a baby sweetheart."

Y/n pants as the doctor comes in checking her then nodding at everyone to get ready as they wash their hands. Roman stays up by her head to encourage her through the whole process. When they finally hear the baby cry Roman smiles kissing y/n's head watching as he's cleaned up. The doctor carefully hands him to Roman so he could set him on y/n's chest.

"Welcome to the world Elijah."

He smiles pressing a gentle kiss to the baby's soft hand his heart feeling as if it was growing in size. Roman had found his mate in life and now they finally had their little boy.

Roman spent the next six weeks close to home enjoying the bonding time with Elijah or as he affectionately likes to call him sometimes Eli. Whenever Belle needed a break or just wanted her time Roman immediately snatched him up. Roman showed him everything from where they held council meetings to where they celebrated weddings. Everyone smiled cooing to themselves over their alpha leader bonding with his baby.

Y/n despite enjoying some breaks was starting to worry Roman was starting to get a little overprotective of Elijah. He was hesitant to even leave him alone in his own parent's company which y/n was finding a bit much. She was also a bit irritated that Roman kept wanting Eli all to himself instead of both of them as a family. However, that all was about to change and very quickly. Setting her book to the side when she hears the door close y/n sits up more in her seat today she was going to confront him.

"Babygirl we're home."

"I'm in the den Ro."

Y/n calls smiling when she sees Elijah swaddled in Roman's arms sucking his pacifier walking over she takes him rocking him gently as he sleeps.

"Did you have a good time with him?"

She asks walking to the nursery laying him in his crib turning on his baby monitor she grabs the spare leaving the door cracked heading back downstairs so they could talk without waking him.

"We had the best time it was so great I can't wait till he's able to talk so we can chat over everything."

"Don't rush it, babe he's only six weeks we still have a while until that happens, for now, we need to have a talk."

Y/n says sitting on the couch crossing her legs while Roman sits across from her nodding his head.

"Okay, go ahead."

"I'm not sure if you noticed but you've kinda been hogging Eli to yourself the last six weeks, the only time you bring him home during the day is for me to feed him then you leave again. I'm glad you're having a good time with him but you've become so protective of him you don't like leaving him with your parents for even an hour. I've also noticed that you almost always take him from me and I just wanna know why."

"Is it a crime I want my son safe or that I like spending time with him I am his father after all."

Roman asks rolling his eyes in annoyance at her proclamation he just wanted Elijah safe especially with Roman as his dad he was in more danger.

"First off he's our son second no it's not bad that you like spending time with him or keeping him safe but I would like to spend more than just fifteen or twenty minutes with him. Out of everyone you should be able to trust me with him."

"I don't keep him from you I think you're being just a little dramatic there's nothing stopping you from coming out with us you chose not to."

"You never give me a chance to Roman! You're always up and out the door as soon as he's finished eating by the time I'm finished with a shower you're long gone."

She snaps as both of their tempers start flaring no way was she going to allow Roman to make it seem like it was her fault.

"Maybe if your hormones would straighten out sooner it wouldn't be so difficult to spend time with you."

"Fuck you Roman, my hormones are still out of whack because I just had our child six weeks ago. If you weren't constantly running around I wouldn't be so angry with you."

Y/n glares walking from the room when Roman starts growling she really needed to calm down before her wolf form wanted to spring out. Walking to the nursery she sits in the rocking chair next to Elijah's crib closing her eyes and focusing on her breathing..

Roman paces around outside he needed to relieve some of his frustrations and anger. With a growl he shifts into his wolf form deciding to go for a long run it would help him clear his head. Running first to Seth's he asks him to watch the house while he's out after watching him leave Roman heads for the woods. He runs for hours thinking over his behavior the last couple of weeks and the way that he snapped at y/n. He knew he shouldn't have done that but he couldn't help it when it came to their son it was like this other instinct of protectiveness over took him. Roman also knew he'd have to apologize to y/n for being an ass, when he finally went home a bouquet of wildflowers in his teeth. Changing back to his human form he heads in thanking Seth who told him y/n had just taken Elijah upstairs for bed. Putting the flowers in a vase he carries it upstairs setting it on her dresser than walking to the nursery. His heart melting slightly when he sees them rocking together Eli holding her finger as she softly hummed him to sleep.

Roman leaned against the doorframe watching he knew y/n could sense him watching for a few minutes longer he walks over kissing the top of his head. Then heading for a quick shower y/n places Elijah in the crib after he fell asleep then went down checking to be sure everything was locked tight. Taking a deep breath she heads up to their room stopping when she sees the flowers on her dresser, she adores wildflowers.

"I know it won't get me off the hook but I still thought I'd get them for you."

Roman says coming from the bathroom sitting on the bed patting the spot next to him. Y/n takes a seat and Roman clears his throat looking at her.

"Baby I'm sorry for being an ass to you and for hogging Elijah and being huffy with you. I never should have mentioned your hormones I was just using it as an excuse. I promise I'll work on it but I am really sorry."

"Roman, I love you so much, you're gonna have to work to be forgiven but thank you for apologizing."

"That sounds fair enough I love you too, how can I start working for forgiveness?"

Y/n thinks then smiles wiggling her feet slightly.

"My ankles could use a good rub."

Roman chuckles nodding his head as he waits for her to change for bed and prop her legs on his.
