Everyone knew that the relationship between Roman and Paul was on the rocks. The weeks leading up to December made that plain and clear. They all expected Roman to either toss Paul to the curb or for Paul to turn on him during a match with Brock.

So when Roman fired him on Smackdown it wasn't a shock. What did surprise everyone was the hint that Roman already had someone else lined up. Speaking in a brief backstage interview he left the WWE Universe in question.

"I'm grateful for everything Paul has done. I told him that, and sure he may try to screw me over in my match against Brock. But don't worry the tribal chief always has a plan. The table will be full once more going into the new year."

"First show as special counsel you can do this. Just go out there and show Roman why letting you take over Paul's spot was a smart idea."

Y/n looks in the mirror, she had exactly two minutes before the Usos would knock on her locker room door. Normally she'd share with Naomi but tonight she wanted some space to collect her nerves. Glancing at the tv screen she sees the current match finishing up. A knock sounds on the door.

"Showtime."

Leaving the locker room the three of them make their way to meet with Roman, the plan was for the twins to go out first behind Roman. Then he would introduce her.

Roman smiles wrapping his arm around her shoulders as they make their way to the gorilla.

"How're you feeling?"

"Little first night jitters but nothing I can't handle."

"Just suck it up and you'll do great remember as my new special counsel when we're in the ring only speak when you're spoken to or the time calls for it. You'll get along just fine."

"Sounds a lot like the bedroom."

Y/n mumbles under her breath biting her lip when she hears the twins snicker, she hadn't meant for them to hear that bit. Roman sends them a glare and removes his arm from around her shoulders as they stand by the curtain.

"Just be quiet and you'll be fine."

Roman's music starts and Y/n watches as the three of them make their way out to the ring, don't get her wrong she loved how cool his entrance was. But damn did it take forever for his ass to get into the actual ring. Watching the monitor, Y/n listens to Roman going over the last few weeks. She knew that he'd be introducing her next and waited for the cue to go out.

"I know that the WWE universe and the locker rooms have been trying to figure out what I meant when I said that the table will be full. Well, you're about to find out."

When her music hits, Y/n makes her way through the curtain listening to gasps and cheers as she walks down the ramp to the ring.

"Oh, my gods it's the tribal chief's girlfriend! Y/n is the new special counsel. I can't believe this is actually happening, Cole! The table just got a whole lot more interesting!"

Pat was shouting loudly in excitement as she got into the ring standing next to Roman and looking out at the crowd.

"Former five-time Raw women's champion and three-time smackdown women's champion is here to bring the heat. This group is going to absolutely dominate the smackdown roster."

It felt good hearing everyone cheering for her, having been out due to injury Y/n really missed it. And since she still wasn't cleared to compete this was the next best thing. Of course, she missed being with the crowds and missed Roman while he was on the road.
