The doors would open in ten minutes. Many students were crowded outside around the doors, talking in groups. Luke went off to find a friend, leaving Orpheus, Mal, and Meg in a corner talking somewhere. After a few minutes, Mal checked her phone and groaned.
"Ugh, do we really have seven more minutes until we're let in?" She looked longingly at the doors.
Meg looked at Mal. "I thought you'd rather ditch with me and Herc?"
"Yeah...but I want to be there a bit after the two months off!" Mal paused, seeing someone walk up behind them. "Oh hey Herc."
Meg turned around, and was face to face with her boyfriend, Hercules. "I missed you this summer, Wonder Boy. Where'd you go this time?"
Hercules gave a wave, before responding. "I was in Athens with my dad, Meg! I wished you'd stopped by."
The two embraced and laughed. It was a sweet moment, but Mal had to ruin it. "You two are so sweet. You should give lessons on how to be that in love.
Meg looked at Mal and rolled her eyes. "You two better show up then." She looked at Orpheus. "You should bring your muse when you find one."
Orpheus laughed nervously. "Okay! I get the point!"
"You really need to get off his back about it," Mal said to Meg, noticing how Orpheus had started to retreat a bit.
"No, it's fine, Mal-"
"What? I'm trying to be a good sister figure!" Meg put her hands up.
"Uhh...please stop...?" Orpheus looked between the two sisters. "Can we talk about something else?"
Mal shrugged. "Yeah of course! Sorry if that went to far." She shot Meg a look. "Maybe they're not the best people to learn from."
"Hey!" Hercules looked jokingly offended, but still responded. "Really. Take your time. We'll talk." He also glanced at Meg.
"Yeah I did push a bit," Meg mumbled. "Sorry."
Before Orpheus could respond, two more people joined the circle.
"Wait what did Meg push?" Their friend, Peter had joined the group along with a girl the others had never met before.
"Oh, just-"
"Nothing! It was nothing!" Orpheus cut Meg off before she could start to bring it up again.
Mal decided to help change the subject. "Who's your friend, Peter?"
Peter looked around at the others. "Oh, this is Arachne. She was at this nature intensive and coincidentally goes here."
"Hey," Arachne gave a wave, looking between Peter and Orpheus. "Are you two related?"
"No...?" Orpheus raised an eyebrow. "Why does everyone always ask that?"
"Well, you do kind of look alike..." Mal explained, shrugging.
"I don't see it," Peter looked over at Orpheus and then at the others.
That was how far they got before the bell rang, and the teenagers all rampaged into the building.

Orpheus had broken apart from the others. His locker assignment might've been right across from his first class, but it seemed like his friends were on the other side of the school. Locker number 417 seemed like it was isolated, yet it was good enough for holding stuff. As soon as Orpheus has closed his locker, he turned around to set off for his first class. He barely took a step, when someone rammed right into him.
"Are you okay?!" Orpheus asked almost immediately and went to help the stranger up.
"I'm fine," she waved him away. "Hey...do you know how to get to locket 309?"
Orpheus nodded and pointed to the right. "Yeah it's that way at the-"
She was already running off before he could finish. After processing that, Orpheus continued to his first class, Greek literature with Hermes. He literally was only a few steps away from the classroom, so he got there no problem, being one of the first students to arrive. He took a seat in the front of the room, and started to write something as he waited for class to begin.

About five minutes went by. Nobody had filed in for a few minutes before, so everyone looked at the door, as it opened again. Orpheus almost fell out of his chair when he saw who walked in."Am I late?" The girl from earlier looked around, not yet noticing Orpheus.
"You just made it," Hermes replied. "Eurydice, I presume?"
"Yes." She nodded as she took the seat behind Orpheus. The late bell rang and Hermes began the class.

"To get to know the style of Ancient Greek writings and each other, you're all getting your first project today."The majority of the class groaned as Hermes started to go into detail.
"You all will make groups of two, and choose a style of poetry, writing something based on the facts you choose to give."
Orpheus smiled at that, as poetry was definitely his forte. He took note of the rest of the project, the workings of a song already coming together in his mind. Soon, Hermes finished his explanations and let the students choose their partners. Orpheus turned around.
"Do you want to be my partner?"
"I'm sorry?" Eurydice was startled, by Orpheus's immediate question. "Hey didn't I bump into you in the hallway?"
Orpheus nodded. "Yeah...I'm Orpheus."
"I'm Eurydice, but you probably already knew that." She paused. "Why choose me to be your partner? Why not anyone else?"
Orpheus shrugged. "I want to be your friend. Is that fine?"
Eurydice pondered for a bit. "Yeah I could use a friend. Are you any good with poetry."
Orpheus's eyes lit up. "Yeah! Poetry and music are my passions! I've been working on a lot of songs all summer!"
"Okay. I'll work on the project with you," Eurydice replied, "but I want to hear these songs someday. That's the condition."
"Well you could come home with me after school today," he suggested, "we can work on the project and I can show you a song."
Eurydice laughed slightly. "You seem really excited to work on the project." Orpheus nodded as the bell rang. "I'll tell you what," she stood up and got her things together. "I'll meet you after school. I'll text you a meeting place?"
"Yeah..." Orpheus nodded, starting to smile.
"Well, see you." She waved and walked out, leaving him there, before he got out and scrambled to his next class.
