I stroke the old scars on my wrist. How could she be so... alone? Or at least feel that way? She is perfect. I want to tell her what I did but I haven't got the words to say to her. It shouldn't be so hard. She shouldn't be so alone.

"Luke?"

"Come in Ash..."

Ashton walks into my room. "Mate..."

"Don't. She'll still be hurt and the scars will still be there in the morning. She'll still be broken all the same..."

"Lucas we can help her. I know we can. We both got away from it..." Ash shifts akwardly, then sits beside me. "Luke... I..." he fights for the words. "She'll get better."

"Better? She is worse than the both of us. Did you even see her wrist?"

"I... I saw..." he looks up at the ceiling. "She's just a bit broken... " he sighs. "Luke... she... she needs us. Maybe keeping her around could save her. And maybe she likes you. I saw the look you gave her. I heard you stutter. You don't stutter anymore. Not unless you're nervous. She makes you stutter again."

I sigh. "Shut up, Irwin."

"Then admit it, Hemmings."

I look at my best mate, annoyed but knowing the truth. "Fine, she's cute and I defenately took note."

"You didn't just 'take note', Lucas. You admired her."

"So? She's beautiful. Am I not allowed to admire a gorgeous girl?"

"Luke, she isn't another fan that you'll forget, especially if she joins us. You will never forget her even if she doesn't come."

"I won't forget her because her scars are as bad as my own."

"And because she's not like the other fans."

"Ashton..."

"Don't you dare 'Ashton' me. I don't wanna hear it Hemmings." He looks at me. "You want to know her."

"So what if I do?" I glance at the beautiful girl.  "What if... what if I can't save her?"

"At least you tried. And I think you can save her."
