Unmatchable.
Unmatchable.
Un.... that's all that went through Sophie's head. That one word over and over again.
Before she new it she was lying in her bed with Edaline by her side.
"Honey, you're going to be OK," Edaline whispered in her sweet voice.
"I...I..." that's all Sophie managed to choke out before she burst into tears.
She didn't want to be unmatchable, even though she didn't know exactly what that meant. All she knew was that it was bad. Really bad.
What was she going to tell her friends? What was she going to tell....Fitz?
She buried her face into her pillow, and Edaline gently stroked her back.
In minutes, Sophie was fast asleep...

Sophie was standing next to Fitz, bursting in tears. She was telling him about what happened at the matchmakers, and she was barely choking out the words.
"I'm so sorry, Sophie," Fitz assured her.
"What about.....us?" Sophie asked.
"I'm afraid, we can't be together. I can't ruin my family's reputation like that. I'm sorry"
Sophie new he was going to say that, but she didn't think that he...would actually mean it.
"I...."
Sophie.
Sophie...

"Sophie"
"Sophie, wake up!!"
Sophie's eyes opened with a start. "Uh... what?"
Biana looked at Sophie with fright in her eyes "You were shaking when I came in. Are you okay?"
"I..." then it hit Sophie. Her dream. With Fitz...
"Oh my gosh this is really bad!! You're makeup is running!!! Ugh, you looked so beautiful! Not that you don't look beautiful now, just... Never mind."
"I'm perfectly fine."
"Doesn't look like you're 'perfectly fine'" Biana said with her hands on her hips. "Come on, let's fix you up and you can tell me what happened"
Biana gave her an outfit to change into. It was a red dress with a black belt and gold trim on the end. When she came back she was brutally forced to tell Biana (as in Biana would do a full on makeover on her if she didn't tell her) what had happened. Sophie got a light lipstick and blush, and a fair amount (in Biana's case) of eyeshadow, which was a golden brown with light golden specks along the edge of her eyes. Her hair was in a loose braid, with smaller braids woven inside. When they were all done, they headed downstairs.
Where they found Keefe, Fitz, Dex, Linh, Tam, and Marella. Along with Mr. Forkle and Oralie.
"What's going on?" Sophie asked, surprised that all of them are here in the living room.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you that they came over to know what happened. Grady is out with Verdi, and Edaline is over making mallowmelt in the kitchen. She actually should be coming back in any time now, so..."
As if right on cue, Edaline walked into the living room, and Sophie's stomach made a loud growl, putting a deed red on her cheeks.
"Looks like Foster is in desperate need of mallowmelt. Quick, Edaline, before the rumbling becomes too much!" Keefe said being overly dramatic with himself.
"Keefe, what am I ever going to do with you?" Sophie asked in a playful tone.
"Don't know, Foster, I'm a big handful, you know," he replied with his signature smirk.
Sophie just rolled her eyes in reply.
Edaline handed a piece of mallowmelt to everyone and in about five minutes it was all devoured, mostly by Sophie.
"Now for the important matter," Mr. Forkle said, interrupting the silence, "what exactly happened at the matchmakers the other day?"
"Oh...um..." Sophie stuttered. "I went, and—"
"Did you get your matchmaking scroll?" Dex asked impatiently.
"Well, that's the thing," biana said.
"Biana new before me? Who else knows already? Bangs Boy? That hurts, Foster." Keefe said, putting his hand on his chest.
"I...um, didn't get the scroll, I am apparently unmatchable."
