Sophie thought for a while about that question before saying "why would I need to when the one I want is right next to me?" Fitz smiled at the response and kissed her lightly on the cheek. "Why, are you?" Sophie asked.
"You're already here." Fitz replied. "So I'm not," he clarified, adding "biana is, though, so that's why I ask."
"Ok, well, speaking of biana, have you told you're family yet?" Sophie asked.
"No, not yet, but I can tell them this morning and then we can tell our friends at lunch."
"Sounds like a plan." Sophie said. "I should be heading inside, and you should be heading home," Sophie said with a yawn.
"Do I have to?" Fitz whined.
"It's either you go willingly or get pushed out by Grady." Sophie said.
"Or I can sneak into you're room, wake up super early, and get in my bed before anyone realizes I was gone." Fitz countered, pecking Sophie on the cheek.
"You can call you're parents you know." Sophie said.
"Yeah, but that would ruin the fun." Fitz moaned.
"Go home. I'll see you tomorrow." Sophie said, pulling out his home crystal for him.
"Ugh, fine..." Fitz said, kissing her goodbye.
Sophie walked inside to see Edaline scrambling around the dinner table trying to look natural. "Hey, Sophie. I wasn't watching you out there at all. I didn't see you dancing with Fitz at all. Nope." Edaline said in her best natural voice.
"MOM!!! Seriously-Ugh..." Sophie groaned.
"What?" Edaline asked.
In response Sophie charged up her room failing to escape the embarrassment.
"Wait, honey," Edaline said as she grabbed Sophie's arm. "I just want to ask, are you too together?"
"MOM!!"
"Are you?" Edaline asked in more of a whisper.
"Yes," Sophie mumbled, trying to be quiet enough she couldn't hear, but by the shine in her eyes, she definitely heard it.
"YES!!! Now Grady owes me 50 lusters!!" Edaline squealed and ran up to her room. As Sophie walked up the stairs, she heard Grady groan and Edaline squeal with excitement.
She got to her room, and covered her face in her pillow. After a few minutes, someone knocked on the door. "Come in," Sophie said through her pillow.
Edaline walked in and took a seat on the bed. "I'm sorry I was so embarrassing," Edaline said, "You two are just to cute to not watch."
"UGH!!!" Sophie said through her pillow.
"Sorry, Sorry." Edaline said while raising her hands. "I wonder when he's gonna ask you out."when she said those words, Sophie couldn't help but blush.
"You think he relays gonna ask me out?" Sophie blurted.
She regretted ever letting her mother in as she smiled and replied, "I absolutely do. And I'll even let you go out." Edaline promised.
"Thanks, but I'm a little tired," Sophie Lied, adding a fake yawn for effect. She really wanted to escape the embarrassment.
"Yeah, I'll leave." Edaline stood up and walked out the door, blowing a kiss to Sophie before leaving.
Once she left, Sophie tried contacting Fitz to tell him the news.
Fitz?
Yeah?
Hey, so, um... I told my parents. Well more of they figured it out, sine my mom saw us dancing. Sophie exclaimed, felling her face flush with embarrassment.
Ok, good. I did too. Did you know my mom owed my dad 20 lusters?
Really? Grady owed my mom 50.
Ha. It's weird that our parents are betting on us.
You can say that again.
Why? Could you not hear me?
Oh, yeah I could. It's a human expression. It means that I agree with you.
Oh...ok. So I don't need to say it again?
No.
K. Just clarifying...um, I was wondering...
Yeah?
Would you... Fitz started. Sophie thought she knew what he was about to ask, and her heart flew to her throat as she waited for him to finish. Go...on a...date with me?
I...I hope you like the story so far!! :)
