John paid for the taxi and we all made our way up to the door.

"Sorry we ruined your date" John apologized.

"How did we ruin it?" Sherlock asked.

I chuckled, "you didn't. No harm done."

We all got inside and I said goodnight, making my way into my room.

John walked up the stairs but Sherlock stayed at the bottom and as I turned around, I gave him a small smile before shutting my door.

"I'm sorry for the other night" Ned said as we sat on the train.

"No need to be sorry." I assured him. "Nobody could've known that would have happened."

"Your friend seems nice, John?" He said, furrowing his eyebrows together. "The other one..." he shook his head.

I looked up at him, seeing the look of disapproval on his face.

"What?" I asked.

"He's just something..." he chuckled.

I could feel he was holding something back.

"Go on." I encouraged.

"Have you ever noticed the way he looks at you?" He said in a more hushed tone.

I furrowed my eyebrows together as I look out the window then back to him. "Sorry?"

"He always looks at you with this... seriousness. He has this look in his eye... like you're the only thing in the room that he can focus on."

I didn't know what to say. Did he look at me that way?

"I never noticed." I shrugged.

He asked me on another date and I agreed, making plans for that coming Saturday.

I let out a yawn as I sat at the kitchen table, a red pen in hand and stack of tests in front of me. I checked the time...

10:34pm.

I let out a sigh as I flipped over another paper and began marking. I let another yawn slip and I put the pen down, rubbing my tired eyes.

"Tired?" I heard a deep voice say from the hallway.

"How could you tell?" I asked sarcastically.

He walked to stand in front of me and I watched him look at the pages in front of me.

"Would you like assistance?" He offered, shocking me.

"You want to help me grade?"

"How hard could it be?" He retorted.

I chuckled, shaking my head as he sat down across from me. I handed him a red pen and a stack of papers. He looked at it silent for a moment, holding the pen in his hand. I

"I can't read this." He said, causing a chuckle to escape from my mouth.

"They're 7 years old, what do you expect?" I asked. "Here, you can have these ones." I switched some of the quizzes in our piles, giving Sherlock most of the neatly written ones.
I could hear Sherlock's pen as he scribbled and I looked up once more to see a plethora of red on just one page.

"Sherlock?" I asked in shock.

He looked up me and I took the paper in my hands.

"Sherlock, it's basic science..." I sigh, chuckling once again. "They don't need to know the periodic table."

"It's never too early to learn-" he said before I cut him off.

"I appreciate it, really, but I think you might be TOO smart for this." I grinned, taking the quizzes back.
