Chapter 10

You awake slowly. Your head was pounding and you were very tired. You rub your eyes awake and see Marshall Lee next to you. You were in his house. "H-Hey." you manage to say while sitting up. He turns toward you delighted. "Hey! you're up!" he says cheerfully. You observe his eyes and arm. They were bruised. His clothes were torn in some areas revealing scratch marks on his skin. "Oh my glob!, Marshall what happened?" You ask frantically. "well you kinda fainted from your fall, so I had to get you out of there." He says smiling sheepishly. "and what happened to you." You say worried. "I told you,... I had to get you out of there." He says quietly before reaching over to a pale of water. He pulled out a wet towel and rang it out. He placed the towel on your head. It felt amazing, this is just what you needed but you were still worried about Marshall. "oh Marshall, this is all my fault." you say removing the towel from your head. "no it's not, the guys just had a disagreement of wether or not they wanted to kill you. So I gave them an answer." He says proudly. He grinned proud of himself. You smile thankfully. "Thank you." You say smiling softly. His marks were fainting away slowly right before your eyes. You stare confused at his wounds who were healing themselves. "oh that," Marshall says catching you starring. "I'm immortal, I heal much faster." he replies. You nod. "listen." he says moving closer to you. "I don't know how to put this is a way that isn't so odd to say out loud so I'm going to say it bluntly." he says looking at you. "I really like you." he says looking into your eyes. You were too shocked to say a word. He leans in and kisses you! Fireworks explode in your head. You liked him too, a lot! But you panic. You pull back quickly. "uh-uh-uh... I have to go." you say stuttering. You jump to your feet and run out the door. You didn't know where to go so you just ran, hoping to be as far away as possible.
