Chapter 15

You dash swiftly along side of Fionna as Marshall silently flys above you. It was dark but the slight glare of Fionna's sword glistened in the moonlight. Fionna suddenly halts causing you to stop with her. "what's wrong?" You whisper to her. "..." "Fionna?" You ask. "GET DOWN!" She shouts pushing you to the ground. A large flash of light blasts above you. The sound of the explosion was deafening. You cough as the dust blows around you. "oh glob, you okay?" Fionna says sitting to your side. "Marshall." you say ignoring her question. "Marshall?" You shout looking around. Footsteps echoed behind you. "(Y/N) we gotta go." Fionna says grabbing your arm. "I can't leave without Marshall!" You yell to Fionna. The footsteps become louder and Fionna yanks your arm to her side. She pulls you swiftly around corner after corner. You both duck to a dark corner and wait quietly. The footsteps distanced as Fionna released your arm. "We have to go back, we-" you start. "(Y/N), Marshall is a big boy, he can take of himself and us both being captured isn't going to help." she says looking to you. Anger filled you. You needed to find him, even if he wasn't in danger. "I'm going to find," you start. "(Y/N)." Fionna says. "with or without you." you say interrupting her. Her face turns hard, glaring you in the face. You turn, removing your stalemate. You cross the hall and to your left. There stood an opening leading out to a standing of trees. You take a last glance at Fionna before rushes to your right.
