Chapter 3: Football Season in Full Swing

It had been a month since Bucky put his foot down with Kingston. It was homecoming she didn't particpate in any of the spirit week festivities. She wanted no part of the baking party at Natasha's.

When she showed up that day. Kaycee found her "Hey Coach Fury and Coach Barnes said to tell you that you are to meet with them in Fury's office."

She shook her head she made her way up to the athletic office. She went into Fury's office.

"You wanted to see me." She said

"Yes please sit down Ms Cooper." Fury said as Bucky stayed leaning against Fury's desk with his arms crossed.

She sat down. "Ms Cooper Coach Romanoff has bought it to Coach Barnes' attention. That you the JV captain of cheer and dance haven't been fulfilling your role as captain." Fury said

She looked down.

"She said that you didnt put in your input for spirit week. You wanted no part in the baking of the coaches cookies for today. And now you have shown up after the girls have already passed them out." Bucky said

"If you want to keep your captain spot Ms Cooper I suggest you get over what ever it is that is bothering you. If you dont want to be a cheerleader or dancer anymore then say so and we will find someone else to take your spot." Fury said

She looked down then wiped tears. "Yes sir. Can I go to class now?" She said

"Ms Cooper.." Fury said

She grabbed her bag and walked out. Bucky looked at Fury "teenagers.." he said

Fury started laughing. "Oh Barnes ..Im glad you came back here to work." Fury said

During 4th period she walked in and sat in the back like she always does. Bucky let them go ten minutes early. She bolted out the door before he could say anything.

She and Kaycee left to get mexican before the game. They came back and helped each other get ready. That night Bucky was in a mood cause they were down 10 points going into half time.

He ripped the team a new one during half time. When the game started back up he was boiling. He lead the team undefeated as captain and during his first year as coach the season before.

After they game was over and the lost by two points. In the locker room he let the boys know to be back at 5AM. Sam looked at them "I suggest you boys go home and get some rest. If you show up hung over you might want to bring a puke bag." He said

That night Bucky was in the shower. Sydney came into the bathroom "Baby..you coming to bed?" She said

"Yeah be right there darlin.." he said

He joined her in bed he started to kiss her. He got her all worked up and they started to have sex. He was getting close to his release when he noticed that she was being awfully quiet he looked down to find her sleep. He finished then rolled off of her. He put his back to her and went to sleep.

The next day when he got back home. He found Sydney and Saylor coloring in the playroom. She seen him then he walked out.

She came into the kitchen. "I know you are angry. But James baby I am tired most nights." She said

He pulled her to him and bent her over. He took her right there in the kitchen. "Feel better?" She said

"Not really no..last night was the third time you have fallen asleep on me. And I get it you are tired we both work. We have Saylor baby but its football season the one time of the year Im stressed the most." He said as he threw beer bottle cap on the counter and went downstairs to watch the Atlanta Falcons play.

She looked down then went back to where Saylor was. Sam and Clint joined him as they brought over more beer and pizza. That night Sydney slept alone Bucky passed out from all the beer that turned into scotch by the time the game was over.

The next morning after church Sydney and Natasha were having lunch. She let Natasha know that she was worried that Bucky may want a divorce. Natasha did her best to comfort her and tell her that this is just football season Bucky.
