The sound of my phone ringing drags me out of a peaceful slumber and I reluctantly reach over to grab it.
"Hello." I saw half asleep completely forgetting to check who it is.
"Woahh sleepyhead it's 11 get up already!" Says a spookily cheerily Luna down the phone.
"Ugh I'm going back to bed." I say and start to hang up but Luna stops me.
"No no no wait hold on a second. I'm coming to yours in 10. I need to ask you something."
I groan and slowly slide myself out of bed regretting picking a morning person as my best friend.
.......then I fall back asleep.......on the floor.

10 minutes later Luna is sitting in my kitchen smiling at the fact that I'm still in my pyjamas having just been woken for the second time in the last half hour.
"So anyway," I say, "what did you wanna ask?"
Luna takes a big breath before, "What if we went to Pride this year?"
I try not to look too shocked at this but I am. Luna's never been interested in Pride before. I don't think we've ever even thought about going before.
"Pride? You've never been interested in that stuff before?"
"That *stuff?*"
"No that came out wrong. All I meant was what's different now?"
"I don't know I just care more about it now I guess. It's stupid just forget it."
"Luna listen. If you want to go to Pride this year, then we'll go."
"REALLY?! OMG YOU'RE THE BEST!" I squeal as I'm embraced by an enthusiastic Luna who squeezes a little too hard.
When Luna's embrace has finished she tells me she has to dash to her interview for a job in town but she'll talk to me later.
I sit in the kitchen left feeling confused and shut out. Is there something Luna's not telling me?
Luna's POV It worked! It really worked! I'm going to Pride with my BestFriend and then finally I'll be able to tell her. Surrounded by my people and.....Ashley. Maybe just maybe Ashley will come too.
Anas POV
It's around 12am and I finally get the motivation to get ready and do something with my day.
I decide on a simple outfit but one that I love.

I then grab my camera and start walking towards the "enchanted" forest. Me and Luna have called it that ever since I first took her when we were both 8. No one ever goes down to that bit, everyone hangs out nearer the front where there are some dirt tracks for people to go on.
I found it one day by mistake, I stormed off, angry that I wasn't allowed to go out that night or something and followed a lake I found to this beautiful clearing with perfect circular stepping stones across the river and wind chimes in the massive tree that me and Luna put up, giving us shade on hot days.
I head there every time something significant happens in my life, its sort of become a routine and it feels wrong not to go now, after everything thats happened......with him.
I blast out my playlist through my headphones bobbing my head along to the music. I probably look like I'm crazy but so what.
It takes about 5 minutes to get to the forest if I walk fast and before I know it, I'm standing at the opening, being called in.
The feeling of peace and change i get whenever I'm here come flooding back and I stand for a moment, basking it all in.
Until finally, I head into the forest filled with memories.
