Exploring love

Chapter 9 Anas POV

We both reach the bottom of the track, breathless and sweaty.

I realize I still have my hand in his and quickly pull away. As soon I've done it, I immediately regret it.

"THAT WAS AMAZING! THE VIEW, THE CLIMB, THE DESENT! ALL OF IT!"

Colby tilts his head and smiled at me. "Yer it was. It really was."

I suddenly realize how close he is to me. Close enough that I can smell what aftershave he uses!

We stand like that for a while until he eventually says, "we should go and find the others."

I nod my head. Not daring to speak incase it comes out all wrong.

It takes us 10 minutes to venture round to the other side of the rollercoaster and when we do we find no where is here?

"Have we come to the right place?" I say, "pretty sure there are meant to be some best friends waiting here for us?"

I hesitate then talk again. "Do you think they've gone off...like together?" Colby looks at me and I raise my eyebrow.

"Oh...no way! Sam has a girlfriend, a great one. He really likes her."

"Oh right well, where are they then?"

As soon as those words come out of my mouth, 2 figures jump out of the bushes and scream at us. Even though it's obviously Sam and Luna, Colby and I still let out a big scream and oddly, Colby shot his hand out over my stomach. Almost as if he was trying to protective. To take the hit for me?

"Hahaha your faces!" Luna laughs. "Priceless!"

"Luna!!!" I run up to her and tackle her to the ground.

"Well you're even now." Says Sam. "You drenched Luna in your water..."

"I cut him off. "Which may I point out, actually caused me to suffer greatly and helped to cool Luna down?!"

Sam continues, "And now Luna's scared Ana, so even!"

"What about me? Colby's pouts, "what did I do?"

"Oh no. That was just for fun."

We all joke around for a little longer then decide that if we want to finish of exploring this park before we get caught, then we better go now.

"Pretty sure that's all of it." Says Sam as we head down the hill.

"Wait Sam, our explore sticker!" Colby suddenly shrieks, stopping in his tracks.

"You brought stickers?" I say mocking them.

"Kind of, where ever we go we leave a mark. One of our XPLR stickers." Sam explains to me.

"Whenever we remember that is." Jokes Colby to which Sam replies,

"And honestly, it's not that often."

So instead of heading home we make it our mission to place their...stickers...on the highest place in the park.

I suggested the rollercoaster but Luna said she didn't want to walk all the way back, especially not in this heat and we all agreed.

We are still debating where to put the sticker when Luna sees it. A Ferris wheel.

"Luna that's perfect!" We all day in unison.

"Well, what can you say? I guess I'm perfect at finding perfect things!"

We walk closer to the wheel and stare up at it. Its massive, and dirt and grime cover it in everyone possible place it can.
