Chapter 3: Phone Calls Part Two

Bruce hangs up and started to call his biological son Damian Wayne. Damian Wayne or Hafid Al Ghul if your his grandfather, Ras Al Ghul, is the biological son of Bruce Wayne and Bruce's ex-wife Talia Al Ghul. Bruce and Tahlia began dating once Dick came around and married 4 years later Damian was introduced to his 3 older brothers. Growing up Damian was arrogant flaunting the phrase "I'm the blood son." He was constantly getting into arguments with members of the Wayne family mostly Tim. This led to Bruce sending him to a boarding school in Switzerland. And let's just say that that didn't end so well with their relationship. Bruce sighs for the 100th time today and puts the phone his ear.

"Hello, Father," Damian's voice ringed. He was clearly annoyed by something.

"Hi, Damian. Hows school," Bruce ask trying to make small talk before he drops the news.

"School is extraneous. I heard you are getting married. Media travels fast once you slap Wayne in the title."

"That just happened, how did you-"

"Know? I have my ways."

"Anyway Selina and I want you to come and have dinner with us-"

"Us is the whole family I'm guessing."

"Yes."

"I will be there."

"Great." The was a silent pause on both ends. They both had something else to say but they both decided not to. That saying had something on the lines of the name of Talia.

"If that's all Father, then I am on my way and start packing for my trip."

"OK well goodbye Damian. Love you."

"Goodbye, Father."

Damian hangs up the phone.

Bruce groaned regreting even typing his number in. Jason Peter Todd-Wayne was adopted at age 9, 3 years after Dick was adopted. Jason was first introduced to Dr. Leslie Maurin Thompkins (The Wayne's doctor, a former colleague of Thomas Wayne, and surrogate mother of Bruce Wayne), after the overdose of his mother, and the imprisonment and later death of his father by a mob boss named Joker. He had first met Bruce when he stole medicine from Dr. Thompkins after she had treated him after a brutal beating. Fast forward a couple of years, Jason was introduced to his adoptive maternal grandfather Ras Al Ghul's gang. In the gang he met fellow member Roy William Harper Jr. Since then they have been best friends. After a few months of Talia's disappearance, Bruce found out about his gang affiliation. Jason had gone to jail for drug possession and gang violence with his best friend. This lead to one of the reasons why Bruce doesn't want Jason and Roy being friends. With the help of their rich fathers Oliver Queen and Bruce Wayne, they both got off with probation and moved to the Caribbeans to get away from their rich fathers.

"You've reached Jason Todd if you're here to tell me to stop drinking, fuck off. If it's the bank, fuck off. If it's my therapist, fuck off. If its Bruce-"

"Selina and I are getting married and we wanted to invite you over for dinner," Bruce cuts to the chase.

Jason paused. "Is she another Talia or did you finally wake up and find yourself a Samantha Stephens?"

"I don't know. How about you come over and find out."

"I will think about."

"OK well Good-"

Jason hangs up the phone.

Bruce throws his phone onto his desk. He leans his head back on his chair just as Selina walks into the room. She was holding a platter with 2 Cups on saucers, 1 Teapot, 1 sugar bowl, 1 creamer.

"You know Alfred is going to have a fit when he hears that you're serving me tea," Bruce says.

"Oh please, it won't kill him." Selina sits the platter on Bruce's desk. First, she poured his than hers. "And besides he's dusting the inglenook. One or two?" Selina points to the sugar bowl.

"Two." Bruce continues to watch his fiance. She drops two lumps of sugar in both of their cups.

"How have the calls been going," she asks. She only pours cream into her cup.

"They've been okay. Dick, Tim, and Damian said they will come."

"And Jason?" She gives him his cup.

Bruce grabs his teacup and sips it. The tea wasn't too hot. "He said he will think about it."

"Well, I do hope he makes it. I really want to meet them all. Did you call Cassandra yet?"

"No, not yet but I'm sure she will defiantly come, she's my little girl."

Cassandra Cain-Wayne was the last Wayne to be adopted, the last child to be brought into the Wayne family. Cassandra was the daughter of David Cain and Sandra Wu-San, she lives in Detroit, Michigan. She was deprived of speech and human contact during her childhood resulting in her to grow up mute, developing very limited social skills, and being illiterate. At the age of 9, she was sent to an orphanage in Gotham and adopted by Bruce and Talia a year later. At first living with the Waynes hard because she didn't know how to talk. Instead, she would communicate by drawing pictures or hand movements but with the help of her brothers she learned how to speak, read, and write. 13 years later Cassandra soon left the manor to travel around the world to "find herself" after 2 weeks of muteness from herself. However, unlike her brothers, she stayed in touch with her father every time she could through Skype, text, letters, postcards, or pictures. She would never call.
