Chapter 5: Jason Todd

Jason sipped his drink looking at the Caribbean ocean in front of him. He watches as the waves crash on the shore. One thing and many things are on his mind. Gotham. Everything and everyone he had left behind in Gotham. What had led him to this moment?

At age 9 he was adopted by Bruce and Talia, Dick was 12 at the time. It was one of the best and one of the worst things to happen to his life. Dick and Jason were best friends as they were brothers. They never left each other sides even when sometimes their competitive nature would come out. Two years later Tim was adopted, Jason was 11 and Dick was 14. For some reason, Jason didn't like Tim that much. They argued almost every day for no reason at all. Dick always had to break up their fights. As the years past they did however started to get along. A month after that Talia and Bruce actually had a child, and named him Damian. When Damian was born everyone couldn't take their eyes off of him. He was an angel with devil tendencies. Jason loved it, Damian was his partner in crime. However, over the years Damian became stuck up and would get on Jason's nerves when he would go on and on about being the blood son of Bruce Wayne. It got even worse when Damian started dating a girl Jason would like to call The Demon Spawn. During that time Jason found Roy Harper Jr, the adoptive son of Oliver Queen. His best friend for life. They could tell each other everything. They knew things about each other that their families didn't know about. Two years later a girl was finally adopted. Cassandra was 10, Dick was 16, Tim was 10, Jason was 13, Damian was 2. Jason's sips the rest of his drink. Even though they were technically siblings, he had to admit Cassandra was cute. But he could never think of her that way, not anymore. Things had changed. Cassandra is his sister and he would literally do anything for her and to protect her. And besides the last time, he thought of her more than a sister a really bad thing had happened. Jason was 15 when Dick, at 18, had left. 9 years later Cassandra had left, which hurt Jason the most, she didn't even tell anyone she was leaving. Everyone had found out after she didn't come out of her room for breakfast. Jason was 24, Cassie was 22, Tim was 21, and Damian was 14. Just like that their family was falling apart. Not even a week later Talia had disappeared. A month after that Damian was sent to a boarding school in Switzerland. 3 months later Jason left. He was tired of Gotham. He was tired of the people in Gotham. Everyone around him was leaving him, even Roy. They had a huge disagreement and Jason didn't say sorry. Jason wanted to makeup but Roy had moved back to Starling City with his parents. Now it's been 2 years, Bruce is getting married to a lady named Selina Kyle, Dick is rumored to be dating a princess, Cassandra Tim to Chine with their aunt Kate, Tim is married to his long Tim girlfriend, and Damian is in Switzerland. How things had changed.
