1. Percy

"Five to Three" Annabeth pulled down her Cowl "we win"
"Yeah, yeah" I grumbled "but Cass is a cheat code"
"Glad to see you finally appreciate her" Bruce said typing into the computer.
"Finally" Cass agreed
"Whatever" I said "we'll win next time-"
"Robin" Bruce said "there's a spike on 1st and Main"
"Coming" I said smiling back at Cass and Annabeth "wanna have another round?"
"First to five?" Annabeth asked
"First to five" I agreed before sprinting after Bruce

The bell rang and I made a bolt for the door, but Mr. Blofis called
"Perseus, stay back please"
I froze and clenched my jaw.
Henry Davidson jolted my shoulder. "See ya outside Punk"
"Sure thing Davidson, unless you chicken out like last time" I said
"Yeah whatever Runt. Your Girlfriend won't be there to help you this time"
"You're scared of Annabeth?" I asked "a big strong guy like you?"
"Henry" Mr. Blofis said "if you would hurry-"
"Sure thing Mr. Blowfish" he said before shooting me a glare and walking out the door.
"Percy I understand you're planning on joining the swim team"
"Yes sir" I said shuffling uncomfortably
"Well it's a little late-"
"I had some family stuff but I already talked to coach and he said I have a spot" I said hurriedly
"And your grades are not up to standard. You still pass the class but barely...."
"So Perce you up to a car chase?" Barbara said into my earpiece
"Count me in" I whispered
"What was that?" Mr. Blofis asked
"Nothing, sorry Mr. Blofis. I have to go" I didn't wait around any longer.
I found an empty classroom and pulled on my gloves.
"Wanna send me the coordinates Oracle" I asked
"Sure thing"
"Is Batman gonna make it" I asked
"I doubt it" she answered "but Paladin should. Maybe Batgirl if it takes too long."
I jumped out the window of the school and grappled onto the roof.
"Want to fill me in?" I asked
"A prison transport truck was highjacked by the prisoners inside." She said "I'll send you the files on them now"
Three pictures and names popped up on the left corner of my vision.
Arthur Brown, Jack Cook, and David Smith.
"Cluemaster and his goons again huh?"
"Yep" she said "looks like it- Robin look out!"
I looked up just in time to see an arrow explode onto the rope of my Grappling hook.
I was falling. When it cut I was probably about forty feet up and the ground was coming up fast.
I fumbled around trying to pull out my spare one when a unknown force slammed into me. It lifted me up and we landed on a roof.
Turns out the unknown force was Annabeth.
"You're just lucky I was close" she said shaking her head at me.
"Yeah really lucky" I agreed
"C'mon the cars not far" she said shooting off.
I rushed to follow her and called. "So what's the plan"
"Why are you asking me?" She asked
"Athena always has a plan right?" I answered
"Yeah I guess but..." She frowned "you take left I'll take right."
I nodded and flipped onto the rooftop opposite of her. Another arrow whooshed over my head.
"Okay who is that?" I asked
"We'll check after we stop the car" Annabeth said "now!"
I dove down shooting feet first into the driver side window.
"Oh sorry about that. Hope you have insurance" I said punching the guy trying to climb from the back up.
The guy that was driving was knocked out with the impact of my feet but now we were hurtling straight for an intersection on a Friday afternoon, with snow on the ground.
"Robin!" Annabeth yelled "get his foot off the gas!"
I kicked his foot away and tugged at the emergency brake.
"Robin!" Annabeth yelled as we were getting closer "get it stopped"
"It's stuck" I grunted
"Robin now!"
I tugged again to no avail.
"Let me try" Annabeth said shoving me away.
Of course first try she got it. Our back wheels stopped sending us spinning forward. I heard car horns honking around us and then finally we skidded to a stop.
I looked to my hand, which Annabeth was holding extremely tight. When she noticed the threw it away immediately.
"Sorry" she blushed
I smiled at her
"Let's go" she said before I could say anything.
"Okay, okay" I said opening the door as I did an arrow shot at me again.
"Oh my gods whoever this is-"
"Have a track on them" Barbara said "Center and 600 North."

When we got there the street was bustling. Cars drove on the streets and really close together, trying to get home for the weekend. Bikes jammed the streets and sidewalks nearly running pedestrians over.
"Great" I muttered "any clear lock Oracle?"
"No" she said a couple clicks of computer keys sounded. "Try going down onto the street. Near that deli."
"Got it" i said turning towards Annabeth "coming?"
"Yeah" she said "someone has to keep you alive."
She had deactivated her suit so she was wearing a red sweater and jeans.
"What are you doing?" I asked
"Percy if someone is trying to sneak up on you, it's not a good idea to make yourself known" she shook her head
"Oh...yeah" I said deactivating mine. I wore my Wayne Industries hoodie, and black Vans. "Now what? We jump off the roof?"
"No" she said "we take the stairs Seaweed Brain"
I looked to where she was gesturing and saw a door that was sure to lead to some stairs.
"It's been a long day" I defended
"Whatever" she said "c'mon. We'd better hurry I have homework I need to get done"
We followed Barbara's instructions and were led to a sidewalk corner.
"The tracker leads here" she said "but..."
I looked at Annabeth. Something felt wrong.
"Give me a second" Barbara said
I heard a click.
"Oracle" I said "check that newspaper stand"
"Why"
"I have a feeling"
She took a second. "That's where the tracker leads"
"Oh my Gods" Annabeth said "Percy it's a bomb"
"We have to clear the area" I said "Oracle get the police down here, check the security cameras see who see it Anna-" I looked to where Annabeth had been but she was gone. "Where'd she-"
Then I saw her, in her suit trying to usher people away.
I glanced around before diving behind the newstand and hitting my hand into my fist. In five seconds flat my suit was on.
"Paladin you clear the area I'll work on the bomb" I said
"Yep" she said
I crouched down and searched under the counter until I found it.
Wires poked out and I heard beeps and clicks. As far as I could tell the clicks were every thirty seconds but I didn't know how long it would last.
"Alright Perce" I muttered "you got this"
I set to work untangling the wires and clipped a few with the help of Barbara.
"Percy the area is nearly cleared" Annabeth said "aaand here come the men in blue"
Right on que I heard Commissioner Gordon's voice over a loud speaker.
"Please clear the area in an orderly fashion"
"Paladin wanna come help" I asked clipping another wire
"Sure" she said
I heard a click and a ding. Then clicks right in a row five of them.
"Get down!" I yelled hoping over the newsstand.
Annabeth who was running towards it was nearly in front of me and I tackled her to the ground. Using one hand I shielded myself with the other I shielded Annabeth. Then I heard a click and knew the bomb had ignited.
