"She's pretty right?" I hear Lexy whisper to me. Like nobody else noticed. This woman could have been a supermodel. Her attire was odd though. She wore a long grey cloak, a red knee-length dress underneath, and long satin black gloves. Around her neck, hung a necklace, it was v-shaped, painted in gold, with two red jewels. With this heat, it was a lot of coverage. At the time I settled with the thought that she might have been allergic to sunlight.

She turns around to face us "this way please, do not separate from the group, we are almost at our first destination of the tour" she continues leading the way

She turns around to face us "this way please, do not separate from the group, we are almost at our first destination of the tour" she continues leading the way. "This is exciting right?" Lexy says excitingly. "Yeah sure," I respond not entirely listening. "Seriously Claudz, what's up with you?" Lexy was getting frustrated with me. I honestly wished I could have told her about my concerns, but I held my tongue. She wouldn't have listened and told me it was just nerves. I forced a smile on my face "it's nothing Lex, come on let's enjoy the tour" she happily jumped and gave me a big hug. "Bet you're happy giving this trip a chance now huh?" She had this sweet smile on her face. I hesitantly responded, "yeah, I guess I am".

The ground was sturdy, branches all over, making it difficult to walk. Lexy should have thought twice before she decided to wear heels. "Man my feet are hurting" she complained. "Serves you right for choosing inappropriate footwear". She sucks her teeth at me. Heidi suddenly stops, behind her was an old church. She claps her hands together to grab our attention. She talks about the church's history, on how it was built as a place for prayer a long time ago, until a priest went mad and burned it to the ground, along with everyone inside. Everyone gasps.

"During the 16th century, people did pray here for some time

"During the 16th century, people did pray here for some time. Until one night, the priest went mad shouting about bloodthirsty angels, he locked the doors behind him with everyone else still inside and burned them down, and shouted only god can save us now." People muttered amongst themselves.

"Whoa"

"How terrifying."

"—bloodthirsty angels? What could he have meant by that?"

"—strange."

"Scary right?" Lexy was easy to scare. It was always fun messing with her on Halloween. "Yeah totally." I have to admit though, this story was interesting. Too bad no one heeded the priest's warning.

"Villagers nearby saw the fire, and by the time they arrived, they witnessed a gruesome scene. No survivors, only piles of ruin and burned corpses. The church was eventually rebuilt but people claimed that they heard screaming and swore they smelled burning. Therefore grew fearful of entering it. No one has stepped foot inside since. Until now. Right this way please." The way Heidi moved was almost theatric. Watching her tell the story was like watching a play.

We follow her. I hold on to Lexi, not wanting to let go. My instincts were screaming in my head "don't follow her" but she had a hold on me that was too strong. Heidi turned back to look at me with her ocean blue eyes and smiled.
