The Great, Least, Richer, Poor Part 7 Ch 8
"Forgive"
Maureen was looking at a picture of herself and Ally when Diane entered the room. "Maureen, how's Cassie?" "She's still sleeping." "Are you okay?" "No, Diane, I'm sure I forgive Madeline for my mother's death." "Oh, Maureen, no one can tell you how to feel about it. I don't know how I would handle it either." "I hate that my mother is gone, but I did have a great life. Daddy made sure of that." "Yes, he gave us a great life." "Yes, I'm going for a walk." "Are you sure?" "Yes." Maureen left. Cassie came downstairs. "Aunt Diane," "Cassie, do you need anything before going to the hospital?" "No, I'm alright."
At Jill's—Jill was at home, worried about her son who hadn't come home when there was a knock on the door. Jill opened it. "Mother," "I want to check on you." "I'm waiting for Jacob to come home. I told him about Dominch, and he didn't take it well." "I'm sorry." "I sure never lied to Dominch and Jacob about it. I will regret it for the rest of my life." "Oh, Jill." "I loved him, mother." Jill hugged her mother.
At Aille's gravestone-Maureen was there. "Oh, my beautiful daughter, I miss you so much. I'm lost without you, and I don't know what to do." As Charlotte came by, "Charlotte Delatour," "Maureen, I was just walking by. I'm sorry about everything that happened to you. My mother didn't mean for you to lose your mother; it was an accident." "Do you know what it was like for me? I didn't have my mother for the most important thing in my life." "No, I don't. I hope to meet my niece." Charlotte left. "Oh, Allie, the Delatours have left with everything."
At Springfield Hospital-Cassie came in with Diane as Jedediah arrived. "I brought you some breakfast." "Thanks." Cassie took Jedediah's hand.
