The Great, Least, Richer, Poor Part 7 Ch 14
At Celeste/Dominch-Celeste was at home having dinner with DJ, Claire, Mia, and Barbara.
"So tomorrow is the funeral if you both want to say anything?"
"I may."
"Good, I want you both to open up to me."
As the doorbell rang, Celeste opened the door—It was Winston.
"Celeste, I'm sorry about my brother. He loves you."
"He loves you too."
"If you need anything?"
"Thanks."
"Uncle Winston, who's going to run the business with you?"
"DJ!"
"What! It's my right to run it."
"Yes, it is. I will help you figure it out."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome. I'll see you tomorrow."
Winston left.
"Mother, Father would want me to run the business."
"I know."
At Cassie's record label-Jill came in looking for Jacob, who was there.
"Jacob, why didn't you pick up when I called you?"
"I wanted some time alone."
"Jacob, I'm sorry about your father and that you never knew him."
"It's your fault! I can't forgive you yet."
"That's fine. Let's go home."
Jacob left with Jill.
At Springfield Hospital-Chloe's room-Chloe was in bed, still in a coma, and Cruz was by herself.
"Please wake up."
Lydia came into the room.
"How's my daughter?"
"She's still the same."
"What can we do to get Chloe to wake up? There has to be something!"
"There isn't. We need to think about that. Chloe may not wake up, and we need to deal with it."
Cassie came into the room.
"Daddy! Don't give up on Mother!"
"I don't want to, but we need to face reality."
"Mother will wake up!"
"Yes, and I will protect my daughter, no matter what!"
Cruz left the room.
"Grandmother—"
"Don't worry, I will protect your mother."
"Thanks, Grandmother."
Cruz was in the hallway trying to calm down; he always fought with Lydia when Maureen came by.
"Cruz, how is Chloe?"
"The same. I believe it's time to let her go, and I have a feeling my mother-in-law will fight me."
"You need to talk to Constantine."
"Yes. I'm here for you."
