BETTY POV
The next 4-days went by quickly. Jughead and I had been talking often and had been getting coffee. We had such a good friendship and I was thankful for his kindness towards me.
I went to his apartment the next morning. It was a hassle because he was on the 5th floor of the apartment building and the elevator was out of order. I managed though and I got to the door. I knocked on the door and he answered. He looked like he had been expecting me.
"Hey." Jughead said.
"Hi. I'm sorry...I'm out of breath...elevator was out of order...I don't do any exercise." I panted. Jughead chuckled and nodded. I went into the apartment and I heard him shut the door. I sat on the couch and he walked over to me.
"I'm just gonna go grab my camera and then we'll go out. I think we should do some photos at the park. What do you think?" Jughead asked. I gave him a thumbs up and I sighed.
"I had a rough morning. Roommates are such a hassle. Do you have any roommates?"
"Nope, I live here by myself. I'm not really a people person. I'll be right back." He said and walked away. I stood up and walked around the living room. I went to the fireplace and saw the sill above it. There were pictures lined up. I saw a picture of a little boy with the exact beanie that Jughead always wore.
"You're snooping." I heard him say. I jumped and he laughed.
"You're really quick and quiet. Is this you?" I asked. He walked over to me and took the picture. He put it back on the sill and nodded.
"Those were 4th grade pictures. I had braces and I looked so weird. I was so happy when I got them taken off. Anyways, we should probably get going. My motorcycle is in the shop getting fixed so we can't use it. We could walk? Take a taxi? Or take the subway? Or take the bus?" Jughead asked.
"I think I'll be fine with a taxi. I would walk but I'm in heels and my feet would hurt really bad." I said. Jughead nodded and we walked to the front door. We left and he made sure to lock the door. We walked out of the apartment building and onto the super busy sidewalk. I saw a parked taxi up ahead and I walked to it. Jughead and I got in and the guy turned around to look at us.
"Have I seen you before?" The driver asked looking at me.
"I've been on a couple magazine covers but that's it." I shrugged.
"No! I feel like I've seen you somewhere. You look just like Lili Reinhart-"
"I get that a lot. People say all the time that we're doppelgängers. Anyways, we want to go to the park." I said. The driver immediately took off and he was one of the worst drivers in human history. I've never been so scared for my life. Jughead and I kept exchanging looks because we had the same message about this guy. It took no time to get to the park and that was good. I paid him and then she drove off. Jughead and I walked to the grassy area where no people were.
"This is gonna be fun. Alright, sit on the grass. Cross your legs and prop yourself up with your arms." Jughead said. I did as he said and he took a picture. "Good. Smile this time."
"Ok." I said and did a smile. He took another picture and then nodded.
"Now, lay on your stomach. Hold your head up with your hand and do a light smile. Look away from the camera with your eyes." Jughead demanded. I got in that position and got did what he said. He took a picture and exhaled.
"This is beautiful, Betty. Now stand-up and hold your arms in the air and make it look like...be so happy like you're partying."
"Alright." I said. I did that and then he took my picture.
"Cross your arms and lift your chin up."
"Like this?" I asked,
"Perfect." He said and took my picture. I didn't bother to do a smile for that one for the affect. He showed me the pictures he had so far and I smiled. They were really good.
"You're talented." I nodded.
"Thank you. I really hope I'm able to start my own photography business one day. Prove to my parents that I can do this."
"I believe in you." I said and moved a little closer.
"You do?" He asked.
"I think you can do anything." I weakly smiled. We kissed again and I wrapped my arms around his neck. For the first time in a long time, I felt truly happy. But what was I gonna do about the girls if I wanted a relationship with Jughead?
