HEARTBROKEN AGAIN
___________________________________Zoe had a week left of school until Spring break, but she wasn't sure she could even make it through that. Zoe hoped that Billy wouldn't show up, maybe his new girlfriend was a good enough reason not to.
Zoe was lost, he told her only 3 weeks ago that he wanted to finally be official, and now he had an entire new girlfriend.
The brunette girl wiped her tear stained eyes and headed into her bathroom. She tried her best to fix herself up but ended up giving up, she didn't bother with makeup. Zoe didn't care anymore, all she ever wanted was gone and she wanted to die.
Zoe thought she was being over dramatic, it would pass, it always does. Zoe doesn't know how to live on her own, before Billy she had Brandon and before Brandon she had well Brandon, and Courtney.
Now Zoe had no one to turn to, sure Katherine, Lindsey and Jesse were her friends and she trusted them, but not with this. They were too close to with Billy and she knew if it came down to it they would pick him over her. She was new and Billy was the reason the group existed.
Zoe changed into a pair of grey sweatpants and a yellow jumper, although she couldn't be bothered to dress up as usual, she still made an effort to wear her doc martens.
Zoe left her house, returning to her car, which she would now have to drive to school once again.
When Zoe arrived, she noticed Billy's car in the car park. She parked hers far away from his and didn't leave the vehicle until the bell rang. Zoe had PE first and she would have to be with Billy, but she didn't care. Zoe just wanted to get the day over and done with.
"Hey, Zoe!" Zoe turned around to see Lindsey. The girl had final began school at Hawkins High. Zoe felt relief take over her, at least she had Lindsey to help her though.
"Hey," Zoe smiled.
Lindsey glanced at her drained face and her outfit, it wasn't Zoe like at all. "You alright, girl?" Lindsey asked, patting her back. Zoe nodded. "You don't have to lie, Zoe. You can talk to me... it's about Billy isn't it?" Lindsey said, giving her a sad smile.
Zoe glanced at her and nodded. "He broke my heart, Lindsey," Zoe said.
Lindsey sighed, "boy's are stupid, especially Billy. He let go of someone as amazing as you for someone as horrific as Jessica. Stupid boy."
"Stupid boy," Zoe repeated.
"Hey, I have PE now, how do I get there?" Lindsey asked.
"Actually, I have PE too," Zoe said. Lindsey smiled and hugged the girl.
"This is so great!" She giggled. Zoe nodded, but she didn't have the energy to laugh at the present time. Lindsey understood and they walked in silence until they arrived at the gym.
Zoe watched Billy from the other side of the court, laughing with some random boy. Zoe pursed her lips and continued walking.
Billy noticed her sadly walking towards the locker room, he grew confused. Why was she sad? Billy decided to wait outside for her.
"Zoe, what's wrong?" Billy asked, grabbing her shoulders. "Talk to me," Billy smiled.
"Nothings wrong," Zoe replied. It stung even more that he didn't know why she was upset.
"You sure? You don't look like Zoe?" Billy said, furrowing his eyebrows.
Zoe pursed her lips. "I wonder why," Zoe spat, breaking out of Billy's grip. Billy watched as she walked off, he was even more confused than he was before, and then it hit him. Billy had a girlfriend now, of course that would hurt her.
Zoe and Billy continued the lesson without talking, every time Billy tried to get close to her she walked away. Billy had hurt her just like Brandon had and he felt horrible for making her feel that way again, but it had to been done. He had to do it.
