the bell rang as becks and i literally sprinted out of class to the locker room to change into our cheer uniforms and piled on tons of makeup along with the other cheerleaders.

"are you nervous," becks asked as i was literally shaking. "yeah i'm really afraid of messing up in front of joe," i rambled on for a little more as i changed my shoes and braided my hair.

"you'll do great honey," becks said as i giggled at her james charles accent. we went out to practice for a while and soon we could see everyone gathered on the bleachers. the opponents arrived and they were already warming up on the court.

we all started to sit at the front seats as we watched the boys practice and warm up. my eyes were glued onto how joe was so quick and agile.

suddenly, he jogged towards us and i could see rachel's eyes lighting up. hold up did she just check joe out?

"hey baby, sorry just had to say you look great," joe complimented as i slapped him playfully as he pecked my lips. "good luck b, even though you don't need it," i replied as he chuckled and kissed me on the forehead before his coach screamed for him to come back.

as he ran back, i could see rachel giving me the side eye and as soon as we made eye contact, she rolled her eyes at me.

"bitch i swear rachel likes joe," i whispered to becks as her eyes widened, gasping. i smacked her as she recollected herself. "shut up," i teased as she laughed. "oh my god i cannot believe it," becks laughed as i started feeling uneasy.

rachel is popular, skinnier, prettier, richer and in every aspect she's better than me. how am i supposed to compete with that? joe would definitely pick her over me.

the thought of joe kissing rachel, cuddling with her made me sick to the stomach. tears stung my eyes as i quickly blinked so that they would disappear.

after this whole ordeal, we finally got our chance to perform everything we practiced for the past few months. the whole school cheered for us as we waved our pom poms around.

"lake stevens high!" rachel shouted as everybody on the bleachers cheered.

after our performances, we stood in a row and the boys ran in with joe leading them. as he ran by he winked at me and my heart swooned and rachel stomped her foot on the ground.

"bitch," becks whispered as i laugh at her short yet accurate comment.

soon, the game started and it was hella intense. all of a sudden the ball got pumped up by some guy at the back and joe crossed it. the whole thing was in slomo. jason jumped so high and head the ball right in the corner.

i immediately jumped up and pumped my fist in the air waving as the whole lake stevens high jumped and cheered so loudly that i swear the whole state could hear us.

joe and jason immediately hug and heidi screamed, "that's my boyfriend!". i giggle as joe ran up to me, picked me up and swung me around the exact way he did when he found out he was going to be captain.

"you did great," i squealed as he put me down and leaned in for a kiss as i giggle and kissed him back. i looked to my right as i stood in joe's embrace to see heidi and jason cheering and doing their weird dances as we burst out laughing.

"joe and jason get back here!" the coach screamed as i giggled and he pecked my forehead before running back. i felt so bad as i saw joe and jason getting screamed at even after their epic score.

"you shouldn't have done that, you're getting him in shit now," rachel nagged as i scoffed, "excuse me? he's my boyfriend i have the rights to kiss him." i fought back.

"whatever you say," she sang as i rolled my eyes and stomped back to my seat with beckah.

the game passed so quickly and of course towards the last few minutes, it was a draw. "come on come on come on," i muttered nervously as i literally squeezed becks hand so tight that it turned red.

joe was dribbling the ball, finally he outdribbled the opponent and took a bad ass shot.

i crossed my fingers as it flew towards the goalpost. the scoreboard showed only 10 seconds left. everyone was holding each others hand as they bit their lips.

the ball finally flew past the goalie, landing right on the net.

i jump up screaming, so did everyone else from lake stevens high as a loud buzzer went off indicating the end of the game.

i ran up to him on the court, jumping into his arms as he grabbed me bridal style and spun me round. "i'm literally so proud of you, we have to celebrate!" i said emphasising on the have.

"we do," he smiled as everyone surround us cheered so loudly.

i looked up at him and my heart filled with warmth as he looked at me with so much joy. i had to fight back every inch of my body that wanted to hug him and just scream i love you.

this was such a magical moment.
