moving to washington was probably the most painful thing that happened to me in my life. leaving my friends, my boyfriend, well now ex-boyfriend. i didn't think it would be possible for me to start a new life here but i guess here we are.

i threw on a champion hoodie over my white bodysuit with some high waisted blue ripped jeans. as i threw my backpack over my shoulder and grabbed an apple off the kitchen island, i heard my mom squeal.

"honey i know the move was really tough for you, so dad and i have a little present for you," she smiled as she held something behind her back and my heart started beating faster.

"look outside!" she exclaimed as i slid on my air force ones and opened the door to see a matte black range rover and my jaw dropped to the floor as i literally have no words and i can hear my dad chuckle from behind me.

"this job we accepted here allowed us to get this car for you and also one for keith so i hope you understand alright?" he said as i turned around and i could feel tears of joy forming in my eyes as i engulfed them in a huge hug.

we celebrated for a while before i put my hair up in a messy bun and got into my new car and rushed off to my new high school.

once i pulled up to the school, everyone's head turned to me and i immediately regret the decision for me to drive my range rover. i look down and made a beeline for the office.

once i was there, i saw a really nice old lady who was situated at the counter and saw me and gasped. "you must be kailee!" she exclaimed as i smiled politely, "yes indeed."

"i am mrs miller, this is ms beckah riley, and this is ms heidi allen, they will be your guides to lake stevens high school! this is your timetable and i hope you have a great year ahead! if there are any enquiries, feel free to come back," mrs miller introduced as i thanked her and i turned around to see two really pretty girls that waved and smiled brightly at me.

"hey i'm beckah!" the girl in a striped long sleeve collared shirt tucked into black mom jeans and with white high cut converse and the girl wearing a red cropped sweater and some blue mom jeans with air force ones as well and i smiled at them as they showed me to my first class which was biology which beckah also had.

as we walked in, i could feel the whole class staring at me and the teacher had an extremely annoyed look. "first day and already 7 minutes late ms riley and ms-?" she trailed off as i smiled awkwardly, "jennings. ms jennings."

"welcome to lake stevens ms jennings, but in here we do not tolerate late coming so please just take your seats," mrs nelson grumbled as i looked around the class and beckah pointed to a brown haired guy that was fiddling with his pen nervously as  he glanced up at me a couple times and i put my bag down and took a seat on the chair.

"hey i'm kailee," i whispered as i turned to face him and he smiled awkward, "joe, joe waud."

the rest of the lesson was filled with awkward silence and i couldn't wait to get out of class.
