I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. Luckily, I've always been a morning person so I went downstairs groggily to drink water.

Mom was already up, preparing breakfast. Although we have many servants, mom insisted on making our food. I sat at the dinning room table and drank water.

"How are you doing baby? Your dad told me you weren't feeling too well last night. By the time I came to your room, you were already fast asleep" I smiled recalling last night.

"I'm fine" I smiled sadly. She sighed and sat next to me

"Tell me, was it because of Ash?" I was taken aback for a second but regained myself quickly

"It doesn't matter mom, it's not like you care" I stood up to leave but she held me back

"Of course I care Dawn, I'm your mother" she raised her voice a little

"Really? Because if you did, you wouldn't have asked me to break with him years ago" shocked? Don't worry I'll give you the details later

"I did what was best for you. What did you think you were getting yourself into at such a young age and that too with your cousin?" I sighed, I'm so not in the mood for an argument this morning

"That doesn't justify what you made me do. You know what just forget, what's done is done" with that, I stormed into my room. I sat on the couch opposite my bed and Faye turned. (Faye and I sleep in the same room, we were practically like sisters)

"You okay?" I nodded and closed my eyes, to think about my life

I sat there till the sun came out and decided to have a talk with Dad. I have decided to work in the office, I don't want to stay at home longer. I might go crazy from too much thinking besides, I shouldn't let my four years struggle in the university go to waste

I quickly took a bath and went to dad's room. I knocked twice before hearing a 'come in'. I walked into their large room and saw mom arranging his briefcase for him

"Good morning Dad" I went to hug him

"Morning buttercup. Did you sleep well?" He asked, fixing his cufflinks

"Yes dad. Dad I have decided that I want to join the company" he looked startled but quickly regained himself and smiled brightly

"That's great sweetheart" mom said walking over to us

"Yes dear, that's a very good idea but why the sudden change of heart?"dad asked

"I'm tired of doing nothing at home so I decided to come work in the office" I lied. It wasn't completely a lie but still

"I'm so proud of you baby" mom said but I averted my eyes as I was still angry with her from earlier

"When would you like to start princess" dad asked

"Um....today, if you don't mind" he shared a look with mom

"Of course not, it's your company too" I smiled softly at dad who came to hug me

"Well I'm glad you've decided to join the company. I'll seeing you by 9am sharp" I nodded in understanding

"Yes dad" he kissed mom on the lips and me on the cheek before leaving. Dad had always had a habit of going to the office super early.

I went back to my room and saw Faye picking out clothes from her closet. I walked over to mine to do the same

"Where are you going?" She asked

"Oh, I have decided to join the office" I shrugged

"Is it because of Ash? I noticed you left the party quite early last night" I looked at her and smiled
