ASH'S POV:

I was busy working in the office when Sabrina barged in without knocking. This young lady can be so unethical at times

"How many times have I told you to knock before entering my office or anywhere else for that matter" I glared and she just giggled offering herself a seat

"Oh relax big bro, it's not like I'll find you doing something exciting or illegal. You're always working so what's the big deal?" that was true, even at home, I tend to busy myself with work

I rolled my eyes and relaxed properly In my chair "so to what do I owe this visit?"

"Mom and dad asked me to tell you to come home tonight for dinner" she said nonchalantly

"And they couldn't call me to tell me?" I quirked my brows

"Let's just say, I needed an excuse to leave their cage" I furrowed my brows in confusion

"What do you mean?" She sighed

"Ever since they found out I have a boyfriend, mom has been over protective. They won't let me go anywhere unless I agree to be accompanied by a guard. I wonder why they are being paranoid? I intend on falling in love and having a thousand kids.....so they are just.." I cut her off before she could continue

"What?" I yelled making her look at me weirdly

"Why are you yelling?" She asked

"Since when did you have a boyfriend? You're not even old enough to start dating" I hit my hand on the table. Sabrina has always been the family's baby as we all thought mom won't give birth again but, Sabrina brought happiness to all our lives

"So out of everything I said, that's all you got? I'm freaking twenty two Ash. I'm an adult and I can have a boyfriend. Do you want me to end up like you?" That hit a nerve and she knew it "I...I..I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that" she reached out to me but I stopped her

"Tell Mom and Dad I'll try and make it to dinner. You may leave now" I dismissed her

"I'm sorry Ash" she said before leaving

I ran my hands through my hair when I received a call from Zack. I wonder why he's calling

"Yo man, what's up?" He chuckled

"I'm alright, I have good news for you my friend" I held the bridge of my nose exhausted

"Alright hit me" I sighed

"Your woman is coming back from Dubai in a week" I immediately got up, my eyes bulging out of it's socket and my ears we standing at attention

"Are you sure? How did you know that?" I asked wanting to be sure

"Faye told me last night and I decided to share the good news with you" I fist bumped the air in excitement

"Thank you man, you're the best" he chuckled as I hung up. My anger and sadness immediately vanished into thin air as I began making preparations for the arrival of my love. My angel eyes

During dinner....

I decided to go to my parents house after all. Now that I know the woman I love is coming back, I'm in a good mood so I decided to go see my parents finally.

"Good evening Mom, dad" I greeted as I sat down at the dinning table

"How are you son" dad said

"I'm glad you could make it son" mom said

"I'm fine dad although I'm wondering why you guys wanted to see me all of a sudden" I said as mom placed a dish in front of me.

"Oh we just wanted to talk to you about something" Sabrina walked in. The moment she saw me, she ran over and gave me a hug

"I'm sorry for what I said Ash" she whispered. Our parents were unaware of why we were hugging and just smiled at the sight of their children

"It's ok" I whispered to her and she took a seat beside me

"So mom what's up?" I asked

"Well we want to know what you're doing about your life. I think you're old enough to settle down or at least have a girlfriend again" they know it's not that easy for me

"Mom you know why I'm not in any relationship" I snapped

"Yes I do, but you don't even know when she'll come back and even if she does, what if she has moved on? She has someone already" I never thought of that but, it's actually possible

"Listen my son, we are not forcing you into anything, we just want you to go on dates, have fun. Enjoy your youth my boy" dad said earning a spank from mom

"What about that girl? Kayla? Isn't that her name? I thought you liked her" mom said

"Mom....you know they broke up the day Dawn left the country" Sabrina answered

"But why? She was a nice girl" mom whined

"She's not the one I want Mom" I answered curtly

"What am I going to do with this children of mine? My son won't find a girl and be in a relationship while my daughter here won't stay away from boys" I just rolled my eyes and continued eating ignoring her Lamentations.

"Relax babe, they're both grown ups now. I think we should let them live their lives however they seem fit, besides they're adults now" dad said to mom and she sighed in defeat

"Does that mean I can have a boyfriend dad?" Sabrina asked excited

"Whatever..... just remember to use protection. You're too young to be a mother" he joked causing him and I to chuckle while Sabrina glared.

After dinner, I got home and decided to try calling Dawn again. After all, she's coming back. I need to speak to her. I brought out my phone and dialled her line. After the third ring, she finally picked

"H...hi" I said cautiously. Whenever she picked my calls,she didn't say anything. I just hope she speaks to me

"Hi" my heart started thumping faster hearing her soft voice

"Angel eyes" I cried out "I'm so glad you answered me, how are you my love?" She remained quiet for awhile. I was beginning to think she changed her mind about speaking to me

"I...I'm alright" she finally said "h..how are you?"

"I miss you Dawn.... I've missed you so much. Please come back to me" I sobbed.

"I'll be coming back to the country next week. I'm sure you are aware of that" yes I am, I'm just scared things might go badly for me

"Are you coming back to me?" I finally asked the question that has been eating me up

"I have to go now..... we'll talk when I get back. Goodbye" she immediately hung up.

Is this a sign that I should give up? Could her silence and reluctance mean it's over? My birthday is next week, I'll be turning twenty-seven. I doubt if she'll even remember. I guess it's going to be the worst birthday ever.
