Chapter 6: The Arrival Part 1

He walked through a destroyed Bellwood with the town almost down to the ground. He limped forward trying to find someone anyone at this point. He's all beaten, his green hoodie torn from the battle, blood coming down his face as he keeps walking while holding his right arm with his left hand. He breathes heavily wanting to help someone. He falls to his knees as he couldn't go anymore. He let out a cry of agony and face the clouded sky, his face showing no emotions as he is feeling helpless.

'What went wrong?' That is what went through his mind as he was kneeling down on the ground. 'I hope this ends soon?' He asked himself as he closed his eyes and fell on the ground. 

A man saw this and looked at the teen with his grey eyes. He has fair skin and black hair. He wears a white lab coat over a white shirt with a brown vest and black tie, black pants, and black shoes. He also wore goggles with green lenses around his neck. 

"Interesting. Very Interesting young Tennyson?" He said and in a flash of bright blue light, he was gone. Leaving this destroyed place to be.

Thursday Morning

Ben woke up early and I mean early. It was five am and school starts at eight. Ben sighed knowing that he wasn't gonna sleep anytime soon. He got up, took a shower and sat down on the couch. He took the TV remote and switched it on. He watched an anime called 'A Certain Scientific Railgun' and he liked it. He looked over to the Omnitrix and brought his arm closer to his face. He tapped the button to let the faceplate pop up. He scrolled through the aliens to make sure he didn't miss one. He eventually named all his aliens so far. He got 36 aliens now but knew that there were more. He sighed as he lay back on the couch. It's been a whole week since Kai came to live with them and it's been a blast. She's in the same class as him and all the boys tried to hit on her, but it didn't work as she told them that she already has a boyfriend back home which made them sad. Gwen's been with her books trying to learn every magic there is and to get Ledgerdomain for some reason. And lastly Ben he's been...bored out of his mind these past weeks, wit school and work with the Plumbers.

He sighed as he lay back on the couch to get his butt in printed on it. "Bored are we young Tennyson?" A voice said and it's a voice he hadn't heard from in months. He turned his head to the left and saw Professor Paradox sitting in a chair with a cup of tea in hand.

"Professor Paradox," He said exciting and sat up straight. "What are you doing here?"

"Well..." He began sipping his tea sighing. "I've recently traveled to your future" Ben looked happy now and wanted to know his future. "But I cannot tell you" He finished and Ben got depressed but remembered not to mess with time. He looked at Paradox eyeing him.

"It's good to see you too Paradox," He said playfully. "So what did you see or saw I think?" He asked him.

"It's not something that I can just tell you young Tennyson there are rules" Ben got depressed again. 'It feels like he hates me' Ben thought. "But it's not something that I can keep from you" The former looked up again puzzled by him. "At first I couldn't go to your future but I somehow manage to break through that invisible barrier and saw a future where everything around you is gone," He said and Ben kept quiet taking all the info in.

"This 'apocalyptic' happens in a few weeks or maybe days from now. I couldn't pinpoint the exact time nor date of the future, but I know it will happen this year" Paradox finally finished and Ben was taken back by this. He didn't know how to respond, but he knew whatever will happen it will be bad. He looked at Paradox again giving him a nod that he understands. "Good," He said and stood up.

"I must be leaving now young Tennyson" Ben nodded and Paradox vanished in a flash of light leaving Ben to wonder what he meant by that. 

'Must be Vilgax' He thought as he got up and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and sat at the kitchen counter. 'It must be. Who else could want the Omnitrix?' He continued to ask himself these questions for a half-hour till he heard a door open up and saw Gwen with her glasses still on, in her pj's.  She noticed him and walked over to him.
