I swiped my hand in a quick motion across my face after my mother told me how beautiful I looked, followed by laughter from both of us."Rea we walk in 10 minutes! Bridesmaids are ready, flower girls are ready, parents are ready, but are you ready?" My wedding planner asked.
I took a deep smooth inhale, me and Michael have spent the past 6 months planning our perfect wedding. I was scared, I was nervous, I was excited, but most of all I was in love. Along with planning our wedding we've been traveling the world. We did a week in Greece, 4 days in Guatemala, 10 days in Bali, 6 days in Japan, and a few more places, we wanted that time to ourselves, to become deeper as 1 single unit, and I've never been happier...But that question 'Are you ready?' Made me think, of just how far we've come in soon to be the past 2 years of our lives. And I can answer honestly 100%, "Yeah...I'm ready." I smiled
"I'm not." My dad said walking over to me looking at me with tears in his eyes.
"Oh daddy." I said standing up carefully not to ruin my dress. I hugged him tightly trying to hold back my own tears.
"I'm not ready to let you go baby girl..." He said with a sweet smile as my mom wiped his tears softly, "But I know I have to." He said while placing his hand on the back of my head as he kissed my forehead. I grabbed his forearm softly and let a few tears fall.
"I love you dad." I said the pulling away and my mother dab my tears carefully not to smudge my makeup.
"Hey at least your dad supporting you, your grandfather tried everything to stop me and your father from getting married." My mom laughed.
"Yeah but your stubborn ass didn't listen." My pop pop said while he sat on the couch.
"Pop pop!" I laughed.
"And I'm glad you didn't, cause if you did, you wouldn't be as happy as you are now and I wouldn't have my beautiful grand baby." He said smiling at me.
"And time people! I need my line up, flower girls your frontline ladies get your basket!." She yelled. I took a few breath, I am about to become Mrs.Jordan, my palms became sweaty in my lap & as I stood from my seat I felt lightheaded.
"I need some water." I said holding onto my dads arm looking at my mom nervously.
"It's okay Rea, breath." Ella said handing me a water bottle.
"You'll be fine babygirl, I got you." My dad said patting my arm softly as we stood in the back of the line. One by one, everyone walked and soon it was just me and my dad.
