It had only been a few days since Amelia came home and edens gate could return to fighting the resistance and boy did they fight,Joseph allowed the peggies to release their wrath onto the resistance wanting to give them a big warning for hurting his niece and the deputy knew they were in deep shit,each of the siblings did their duty to their best,faith making more angels with her bliss,Jacob making twice as strong soldiers and John taking on sinners making them confess and joining the flock and killing the few that had confessed to mistreating his little girl
While this happened,Amelia slowly recovered while back in her father's arms,she had sleepless nights from fears of waking back in the arms of the resistance and having nightmares of what harm they brought to her
So John moved her bed into his room for a while so she wasn't alone and could help her during the night
One afternoon Amelia was sat outside watching the peggies on patrol around her home before looking to the sky seeing planes flying over and sighed,she shut her eyes for a moment enjoying the tranquillity of that afternoon before she noticed a car coming down the road belonging to her uncle Jacob and stood up and shouted to John calling him out to the front
"Daddy! Uncle Jacobs here!"she yelled for him
"Coming now!"he shouted back to her from his office
She nodded and turned and smiled seeing jacob and she waved to him and he waved back before walking up and ruffling her hair
"How you doin kiddo?"he asked worried seeing the small bags under her eyes
She shrugged her shoulders not really knowing what to say at that moment before John came outside so she went in so they could talk by themselves,as soon as the door shut John sighed
"How is she doin John? Mentally"Jacob asked crossing his arms Over his chest
"Not well brother,I've had to move her bed into my room...she just isn't as happy as she was before those stupid...sigh"John sighed defeated
"Relax John..we cant have you stressed out,it wont help either of you at this moment in time,anyway I wanted to let you know...the deputy is in faiths region and is hitting hard"
"Shit...there taking us on one by one,what am I going to do if they come here to get Amelia"John asked pacing before Jacob grabbed his shoulders stopping him
"You will be her father and keep her safe John..I know you will do anything to keep her safe.."Jacob said trying to calm John down
John sighed shutting his eyes nodding "I know and I will...I promised her I would"
As the brothers talked Amelia sat by the door listening for a while before she stood up slowly and walked away and went to the back of the house and went out the back door and sat down on the porch resting her head in her hands while staring down at the ground thinking quietly before she heard a noise ahead of her and when she looked up she saw a small doe with its mother and she smiled watching
She sat quietly before standing up spooking the deers but they didn't run they just turned and stared at the child before stepping forward towards her making her curious as she took a step forward too
Step by step she got closer and closer to the small family before she was stood face to face with the mother deer and baby,she looked at her before reaching up slowly and touched the mothers face gently making her giggle and stroked it gently making the deer lick her hand
"Your so pretty,so is your baby,I wonder where your from?"she asked quietly looking down at the baby deer petting it's head
"Your lucky little baby,I lost my mommy a long time ago...along with my daddy too"she said frowning
The mother deer looked at her and sat down so Amelia did the same and stroked their heads
"I miss my mommy a lot,I know I have a new family but...I do miss her still and my other daddy..I love daddy John but..still..where is your daddy actually?"she asked looking around
She looked at the mommy deer with a sad look on her face and Amelia frowned "I'm sorry..I wish I could help you find him"she said stroking their heads
The deer looked at Amelia and went up to her face and nuzzled Amelia making her eyes close as she gently hugged the deer for a moment before she felt her stop and when she reopened her eyes she saw they had gone,she looked around before she felt something in her hand and looked down and opened it seeing some white fur and some sort of necklace that had a small cross at the end of it
She stared at it before she stood up and walked slowly back to the house and walked inside while looking behind her once more before she shut the door
