Lily's pov
I sneak back through the tunnel and run back to the bakery.
"Mom, Dad you need to see this!" i say.
We run back to victors village and walk through the tunnel. My mom gasps when she sees Willow. Willow turns around and runs up stairs.
"Will! wait!" mom yells.
Willow turns around with tears streaming down her face.
"Willow baby, we aren't mad!" dad says.
Rye is standing there with his mouth open,
"Willow! woah!" he says
Katniss pov
I walk up to Willow and shoo the rest of my family back to Haymichs house. when we are alone I pick up Willow who is still crying and say,
"Why didn't you ask me to teach you how to hunt?"
"Because you want me to be like daddy, you want me to be a baker. I don't want to play with dough! I want to be like you mommy! I want to be a mockingjay!" She says before breaking down crying.
"Okay willow. Grab your knives and come with me."
I am going to do what I never wanted to do with her. my five year old daughter and I are going under the fence.
(Flashback)
"Daddy! I want to go into the woods!" I say.
"John! I told you no!" my mom hisses. she starts to go on a rant when she has to run off to tend a crying newborn prim.
"Come on katniss. lets go."
(End of flash back)
No! I will not become my mother! I will not be the lady who abandoned her children! If she had never given in I would be dead. the woods saved me. I will take Willow into the woods.
