WHITE ROSE

"what other flower symbolize weddings better than white roses do?"

One Year Later

❀ ❀ ❀

In the year that Harry and Draco had been together, so much had changed. If it were possible, their hearts had grown fonder, their kisses had become longer, and their words had become kinder.

Of course, some days were better than others, but the two lovely boys always knew that they would come back to each other, most likely with a beautiful flower of apology. The world was theirs, and they had all the time in it.

Neville had grown quite fond of seeing the two of them together, and always commented on how much Draco had been smiling lately. And he was, he smiled brightly all the time; as if anyone needed more proof for how much the brunet boy had lightened up his life. He smiled on the rainy days, and he smiled on the sunny ones, all because his lover was there to either dance in the rain with him, or bask in the sunlight together.

Harry didn't mind, for his days were always filled with adoration and love from sun up to sun down. His cheeks were always pink, from the sweet words spoken by his favorite blond, and his eyes were always starry; yet another effect that the blond had on him. Everyday was a dream to him, and he couldn't be happier, or so he thought until this night.

On this night in particular, it had been one of love. One of Harry's best friends had married the love of her life- and who else was better to accompany him to such a event other than Draco?

He cried on his shoulder as the 'I do' was said, and the blond cradled his hand gently in his own all the way through it. The entire wedding had been lovely, as it was set up outside, where all of the beautiful spring flowers were just beginning to bloom, and the sun was shining brightly in the blue sky.

Along with those flowers, Neville had been thrilled to have been asked to put together a beautiful bouquet for both women. He had spent long days and nights trying to figure out what to do for such a special occasion, but in the end, Neville had decided to give each of the lovely women a bouquet of ethereal white roses. Something that represented purity, love, and now the happiest day of their life.

Draco and Harry had danced the night away, and nothing but giggles and laughs, along with sweet kisses came from either of them. They wouldn't want to spend the night any other way than in each other's presence. Draco spun his lover around in circles, remembering the day that Harry had to beg him to dance in the shop, and now here they were, dancing like it was their last night on earth.

When the night came to a final close, the two boys has hugged the two married women, wishing them luck on everything and promising that they would visit soon. After that, each one took their time wrapping Neville in a embrace, thanking him for everything that he had done for  them, for without him, the boys would not have found the other.

"I love you," Draco said quietly to the half asleep boy. He was driving them back from the wedding, and his precious lover had been so sleepy from dancing that he practically fell asleep as soon as the got in. Draco had one hand on the steering wheel, and the other one intertwined with his darlings hand.

"And I love you too, now be quiet so I can sleep," The brunet mumbled, pressing a gentle kiss to the others knuckles.

"No, I really love you," Draco continued, squeezing the others hand. "Like a lot."

"And I really love you," Harry repeated, yawning through his words. "You know what I also love? Sleep. Sleep is beautiful, you are beautiful, but for right now sleep is the most beautiful."

It was quiet for the next two minutes, each of them enjoying the sound of the soft music coming through the speakers, and the sound of the car blinkers coming on and off every now and then. Even in the dark, Draco could still feel the brunet's eyes watching him, to which he would squeeze his hand and smile as if to say 'caught you'.

"You mean the world to me, you know that, right?" Harry asked, looking at his lover with adoration in his eyes.

"You are my world, Harry, and I knew from the day I saw you in that flower shop I was doomed," Draco declared, smiling at the memory of Harry hitting his head on the counter. "You are so precious to me, and I had so much fun dancing with you tonight. Speaking of weddings, I don't even know why we aren't marri-"

Draco stopped talking as soon as he realized what he was about to say, feeling the heat burn up his cheeks, and he immediately took his hand out of the brunet's, already beginning to apologize.

"Harry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. . ." The blond trailed off, trying to come up for a excuse for what he had brought up. But as he took a risk and glanced at the grinning, ethereal boy sitting beside him, he realized something. "You know what? I'm not sorry. Marry me, darling. Marry me, and make me the happiest man alive! Marry me, Harry."

And it took one second. One second for Harry to have his answer.
