My room at the Tower is beautiful. It was green and white, which gave the space a comfortable vibe, totally different from my room in the Lab.

It wasn't until 10 PM that I heard a knock on my door.

"JARVIS, who is it?" I asked the AI.

"It's Mr. Stark, Miss Grace."

I stood up from the bed and walked to the door. I opened it and saw Tony with a smile on his face. An agitated mood surrounded him.

"Hi, Mr. Stark, how can I help you?" I asked.

"Oh, please, I told you to call me Tony, kid." He said "Can I come in?"

"Of course! It's your building."

"Yes, but it's your room." He said entering the room with a package on his hands. He turned to me smiling. "You know, I was very interested in that suit that didn't catch on fire, the one you were wearing at S.H.I.E.L.D. I  borrowed it from the dry cleaner, hope you don't mind."

"No, not at all."

"Well, you see, I make my own armor. And I am very geeky about suits, specially ones that don't burn. I perfected it for you. Added a little 'Avengers style'."  He said as he gave me the package.

I opened it and saw a navy blue one piece. The suit was incredible, very similar with Natasha's one, but a little lighter.

"I don't know what to say, Tony." I said smiling "Thank you, it's amazing."

"You don't need to thank me." Tony said " You need to help me."

"Sure, with what?"

"I want you to come tomorrow."

"But Captain-I-know-everything-America already prohibited me from going." I said rolling my eyes, clearly bored with Steve's decision.

"Well, I don't always obey him. And, he may not see it, but we need you." Tony said walking to the door "Don't be late tomorrow."

He walked out the door, leaving me with a hopeful grin and anxious mind. The suit in my hands represented not only the challenges I would face tomorrow, but also a chance to be good at something, to help people and prevent them from being tortured by HYDRA.

This is the chance I get to come to terms with my past.

The suit fit me like a glove. The fabric adapted to my body in all the right places. Looking at the mirror and seeing myself suited up was the first time I actually felt beautiful.

I tied my hair in a ponytail, and got out the door. When I reached the meeting room all the other Avengers were already there. Steve's eyes grew wide when he saw me. He looked me up and down, surprised not only by my presence, but with my suit.

"What are you doing here?" Steve asked looking a little annoyed.

"I'm here to go with you, for the mission." I said trying to sound confident, which was actually bullshit. To say I was nervous was an understatement.

"We already discussed this, you're not going."

"Oh, God. Here we go." I heard Clint say.

"Yes I am, Steve. You need me."

"No, Grace. I need people that know what they're doing. People who know how to fight." He came closer to me. "You're still a kid and this is a dangerous mission. I can't have you getting hurt."

"Does anyone here know what the equipments are?" I asked turning to face the other heroes "Or how the experiments are done? Or who does them? Anyone?"
