You had been swept away from your family when the flood stuck the hotel.
You ran into metal, big bricks, and trees. Meaning you were in pretty bad shape.
You came upon a tree and three people helped you into it. It was a mother and two boys. One which introduced themselves as Lucas.
Once you were saved by a villager and taken to a hospital near by. You made sure to stay with the family.
Your bed was placed next to the mothers, Maria. Lucas stayed by both of your beds the whole time.
After his mom came after surgery she was out cold.
During that time Lucas talked to you more and helped you. Getting drinks, food, or extra supplies.
The doctors told you not to go to sleep because they weren't for certain if you would wake up.
"Hey" Lucas said
"Hi" You replied
"Do you want anything? Water? Maybe so ibuprofen?"
You laughed at him making him smile.
"No I'm good. Could you maybe just lay with me?" You whispered
You didn't think he heard you but a second later a shift of weight on the bed made you open your eyes.
Lucas was right next to you so close you could touch noses.
"M-M-Maybe you should take care of your mom. S-She is in worse case than me." You stuttered out
He looked at you and smiled "No, i want to stay here... with you"
You blushed but looked up at him. He pulled you in to his side.
"Just don't fall asleep"
You smiled and cuddled more into his side. You and Lucas talked all night.

My school wanted to save paper by putting progress reports online this year but they sent a paper letter parents to tell them about it. *facepalm*
