"You ready for today?", I hear Lily ask from outside of the bathroom,
"Yes...no, I don't know.", I say and look at myself in the mirror,
"Y/n you're gonna do great.", she says,
"Yeah I know, I'm just nervous.", I say and run my hand through my hair one more time,
"Now come out here so I can see what you look like.", she says and I sigh. I open the door and walk out and when she sees me her jaw drops,
"Holy shit. You're fucking hot. If I were gay I'd date you.", she says and I laugh,
"I think I'm overdressed.", I say and look down at my outfit. I'm wearing a plain grey pencil skirt with a white blouse,
"What now?! You look like a sexy secretary.", she says and I frown,
"But professionally.", she says and I laugh,
"I don't know what shoes to wear.", I sigh,
"Oh wait! I have the perfect ones.", she says and goes over to her closet. She pulls out a black pair of heels and I cross my arms,
"No. Definitely not.", I say,
"Aw come on! They would look great!", she says,
"Lily you know how I feel about heels.", I say,
"Yeah, yeah I know, but they'll make you look more professional.", she says and she holds them out,
"Please?", she begs and I sigh,
"Fine.", I say and grab them from her hands. She smiles and I slip them on,
"Yep, they just made you hotter.", she says and I laugh. I walk over to my phone to check the time and I'm already off schedule,
"Okay, I have to go.", I say and grab my things,
"But it's only 7. You don't have to be there until 8.", she says,
"Yeah I know, but I like being early for stuff.", I say and she rolls her eyes playfully,
"Yeah, yeah whatever.", she laughs,
"Alright bye!", I say and head towards the door,
"Text me!", she calls after me and I give her a thumbs up and close the door behind me. I get in the elevator and I feel my phone vibrate in my bag. I quickly get it out and I see it's my dad,
"Hey.", I say into the phone,
"Hey kiddo.", he says and I smile,
"What's up?", I ask,
"Just checking to see if you're excited for today?", he asks,
"Yeah, I am! Just nervous.", I laugh,
"Understandable, but you'll do great.", he says,
"Yeah I know, everybody has told me that.", I tell him and step out of the elevator,
"They're not wrong.", he says and I laugh,
"So what are you doing after?", he asks and I pause,
"Oh um, I think I'm just gonna do some of my homework and I think Lily is taking me out or something.", I say,
"That's nice.", he says,
"Yeah, it is.", I say. I didn't know if I should've told him about meeting up with my mom because he probably would've disapproved of it and told me not to go,
"Well I'm gonna let you go. Call me later and tell how it went, okay?", he says,
"Yes of course.", I say,
