Camila turned to the now opened door and saw Lauren sitting behind the wheel, not giving Camila any looks, just tapped the steering wheel, waiting for Camila to get in, which she did eventually, buckling herself up.
"What the hell were you thinking walking home like that this late?" Lauren huffed, shaking her head in disbelief.
"Like what?"
Lauren eyed Camila's outfit, pointing her hand up and down. "Like that." Lauren scoffed, knowing well who the men in this town were when they saw girls walking around like Camila did just now, not that Lauren minded, no wait she did. She didn't want anyone else checking Camila out but her.
"What? Don't you like it?"
"That's not the point, Camila."
Camila raised an eyebrow. "So you like it?"
"Camila..." Lauren warned, keeping her eyes on the road as she pursed her lips together.
The younger brunette chuckled and pulled at her shorts a little. "Having fun with your sex toy?"
Lauren furrowed her eyebrows and glanced over at Camila. "What the fuck are you- Oh, Normani?"
"Obviously."
"What's it to you?"
The smaller girl shrugged, leaning the back of her head against the window as she eyed Lauren. "I'm just asking."
Lauren glanced over at Camila again. "You wanna talk?" She looked in her mirror before she pulled over to the side, turning off her engine. "Okay, let's talk."
"Lauren..."
"Okay, I deserved it." Lauren admitted, not showing any emotion.
Camila furrowed her brows and shook her head. "What?"
"I deserved getting my heart broken. I deserved that after all the shit I put your through, but I never thought I would get it from you, you know... I didn't think you would be the one to put me in place and it just kind of hurts." Lauren rambled, bowing her head.
Camila's lips twitched into a frown and she sat up in the seat. "I know I shouldn't have done it, but I just wanted revenge, Laur... I wanted it so badly, but when I found out what kind of amazing person you were, it was so hard not to fall for you and I just couldn't help myself when I fell in love with you because yes, I love you, Lauren, whether you love me back or not."
Lauren kept her head bowed, letting out a loud sigh. "How long did you fake it?"
"The first month." Camila informed her, feeling ashamed by her own answer.
"Okay."
"Okay?"
Lauren brushed her hair out of her face and nodded. "There's nothing I can do about that. I don't know what else to do either so, I guess I will just have to accept it. Like I said, I deserved it."
"No, Lauren... You didn't. You're amazing and you didn't deserve this." Camila protested, shaking her head.
"I'm gonna drive you home now, Camz." Lauren smiled slightly, ignoring Camila's words as she started the engine again, quickly making her way on the road.
The drive home to Camila's house was quiet, neither of the girls speaking, but both of them noticing the tension between them. There were definitely some unsaid things between the two of them, but they both knew that they wouldn't be able to keep apart from each other when they've been spending the last two months practically glued to the hip.
"We're here." Lauren said as she parked in front of the sidewalk to Camila's house, looking over at Camila who were looking back at her.
"Okay." Camila nodded. "I guess I'll see you around or something." She smiled sadly, unbuckling her seat belt. "And Lauren is there any way for us to you know, maybe be something more again?"
