“Holy shit, it is you!” Veronica said surprised, closing the distance between the two of them and hugged the taller girl.
Lauren returned the hug without thinking, kind of enjoying the feeling of having her ex-girlfriend in her arms again.
“What are you doing here?” Lauren asked once they pulled away.
“Um, trouble in the family so my mom decided to move and brought me with her.”
“Your dad?”
Veronica shrugged. “He’s back at the old house.”
Lauren nodded slowly. Her feeling were kind of torn, in a way she was happy to see her ex-girlfriend again, it had been a while, but in another way she remember the pain that she caused her and the best for her would have been to stay away from her. “So, you’re living here for good now?”
“I think so, unless my mom decides to move again, which I doubt since she already like it here.” Veronica smiled, her eyes traveling down Lauren’s body. Lauren had gotten a little bit fitter since the last time they saw each other and she definitely liked what she saw.
Lauren shifted on her feet awkwardly. “Okay, um. I guess I’ll see you later.”
“Wait, you’re going?”
The taller girl cocked her hip to the side and raised an eyebrow. “Well, do you have something else you want to say before I go?”
Veronica looked away in thought, something that both of the girls had gotten from each other. “Oh yeah, what are you doing at a hospital?” It wasn’t like she really was interested on why she was here, but she just wanted the conversation to keep going.
Lauren leaned against the wall, looking at her ex-girlfriend before she shook her head. “My gir- my friend got hurt pretty badly so I’m just here for her.”
The smaller brunette chuckled, hearing Lauren’s slip up. “Shouldn’t you be in school?”
“Are you my mom?”
“Could have been.”
Lauren rolled her eyes, trying not to smile, but failed when Veronica grinned at her, knowing that would make her smile easily. “Stop.” Lauren laughed, raking her nails through her hair.

Dinah rushed through the hall with two sodas in her hands, one for her and one for Camila. She was pretty sure she could see Lauren lean against one of the walls a little away from her, but she didn’t see what she was doing.
“Stop.” Dinah could hear Lauren laugh and she could see that there was another girl there and saw that the other girl walked closer to Lauren and she didn’t see the rest until she shook her head in disgust and walked into Camila’s room, finding the younger girl laying there peacefully with her eyes closed.
Dinah sighed before she walked over to Camila, placed both of her sodas on the table before she sat down in the chair next to her.
“Lauren?” Camila whispered, reaching after the person that she assumed was Lauren.
Dinah shook her head and grabbed Camila’s hand. “Dinah.”
Camila pouted a little. “Where’s Lauren?”
“I’m sure she’ll be here soon. I just saw her talking to a girl down the hall.” Dinah said quietly, hoping that her tone would come off a little carelessly so Camila wouldn’t notice.
