The older girl turned her attention back to the bed, where Camila was laying, her eyes slightly open and her eyebrows furrowed. Probably wondering on what Lauren was doing there in the first place.
"Camz..." Lauren whispered, a smile covered her face as she sat down on the edge of Camila's bed, leaning down to kiss the smaller girl's forehead repeatedly. "You're awake."
"I think so?" Camila smiled, closing her eyes when she felt Lauren's lips on her forehead.
"I thought I lost you." Lauren sighed, stroking her hair.
Camila furrowed her brows, not really knowing what changed Lauren's sudden mood from the few days before. She had completely blown her off, telling her that they won't be the same anymore, yet here she is, treating her like nothing ever happened.
"Lauren..." Camila bit her lip, pushing at Lauren's shoulders to get her off her, taking a deep breath when she saw Lauren's hurt expression. "I just... I don't want you to send me mixed signals if this is just because I'm here. I appreciate that you're here, I really do, but I'm sure your girlfriend needs you." She explained sadly, her eyes almost closing again.
Lauren shook her head, sitting back down in the chair beside the bed and grabbed Camila's hand carefully, brushing her thumb over her knuckles again. Lauren was kind of confused as she really thought the younger brunette heard her last night. "Camila, I don't know whether you heard me or not, but last night, when I saw you, all these words came out of my mind that I said without thinking, but it all came from the heart and that was everything that I wish I would have told you sooner, but I didn't have the guts to."
The younger girl smiled, letting out a little chuckle.
"What's funny?"
Camila opened her eyes as much as she could, turning her hand, grimacing slightly when her bruised knuckles brushed against the mattress. She interlocked their fingers, her gaze finding Lauren's. "I just had to make sure that you really meant what you said last night." Camila said, squeezing Lauren's hand.
"Wait, you heard me?"
"Every word of it."
Lauren blushed and dropped her head besides their hands. "Oh my god." She groaned into the mattress, looking up when Camila's hand brushed against her cheek, pulling her up.
The smaller girl grinned widely and pointed to her lips.
"Now?"
Camila nodded, pulling her bottom lip between her teeth.
Lauren felt a pang of joy rush through her body as she licked her lips, stood up quickly, almost knocking over the chair as excitement took over her body. "Okay, so I'm gonna kiss you now, Camila." Lauren whispered, pouting as Camila laughed at her, but her laughter soon died down when she felt Lauren's breath on her face, but she couldn't wait anymore and let out a puff of air as she reached up to tug at the collar of Lauren's shirt, connecting their lips.
Lauren was the first one to pull away, kissing Camila's nose before she stood up again.
"That was our first kiss." Camila blushed at her own words, her eyes slightly closing again.
"It was perfect." Lauren smiled, stroking Camila's cheek. "I'm gonna tell Dinah that you're awake, okay? Just try and stay awake for her, she's been really worried."
Camila thought it was kind of weird not expected that Lauren was talking about Dinah like that, the same girl who had ruined their relationship not too long ago, but if felt good knowing that she wouldn't have to be between Lauren and Dinah.
