“Who was that girl who was here yesterday?” Sinu asked her daughter when she saw Camila slowly making her way over to the kitchen, grabbing the toast that her mom had made ready.
“Lauren? Just someone from school.” Camila shrugged, hoping to sound casual.
Sinu leaned against the kitchen counter. “Oh, you’ve gotten a new friend?”
“I’m not sure if you’re surprised or not.”
Sinu chuckled and busied herself with making some coffee. “You’re still hanging out with Dinah and Ally though, right?”
Camila nodded, not wanting to talk with a mouthful of toast.
“So, will I get to meet Lauren sometime?”
“I’m sure you’ll see her around sometime.”
Both of them heard a horn hunk from the outside and Camila jumped off the counter, trying to not flinch when small pains shot through her body when she landed. She smiled at her mom before she grabbed her bag. “Gotta go, love you, bye!”
Sinu furrowed her brows and followed after Camila, looking out the window to see Camila crawl into the car and immediately lean over and plant a short kiss on Lauren’s lips. Sinu didn’t have any problems with Camila dating a girl, but she kind of wished that Camila had told her. It all made sense now, everytime she left the house she had been with Lauren, while Sinu actually thought she was out with Dinah or had a boyfriend.
Lauren smiled as she watched her girlfriend run over to her car and got in and before she knew it, her lips were on hers.
When Camila pulled away Lauren was left with a dumbstruck expression on her face before she back out of the driveway. “Were your parents home?”
“Mhmm.”
“Well, did they notice anything?”
Camila shook her head. “I don’t think so. They came home from their trip to my aunt last night so I doubt it.”
Lauren nodded, glancing over at Camila to look at her outfit because she had never seen Camila like that. She knew that’s how Camila dressed, but she was too busy to well, to be pissed to take in Camila’s outfit when she wasn’t Karla, just Camila.
The smaller girl noticed Lauren staring at her and reached over to turn her head to the road again. “Stop it.” She laughed, brushing her hand over Lauren’s cheek casually.
“Sorry, I just haven’t seen you like this before.” Lauren laughed, glancing over at Camila one last time to take in her messy bun, her glasses, the large sweater and her shorts that showed off her beautiful legs.
“Seen me sitting in a car? I’m sure you have.”
Lauren rolled her eyes and shrugged Camila’s hand off her. “No, being Camila.”
“Oh, that’s right. I don’t think I have actually introduced myself.” Camila said after a few minutes. “Hi, I’m Camila Cabello.” She grinned, letting her hand fall on Lauren’s thigh.
Lauren looked down at Camila’s hand that was tugging at Lauren’s front pocket of her shorts. “Tell me, Camila… Do you do this to all the girls when you first meet them?”
“Do you invite strangers into your car?”
“I didn’t invite you, you just came in.” She laughed.
Camila raised an eyebrow and leaned over the console so brush her lips against Lauren’s cheek before she brushed her hair away, her lips trailing down to her neck. “Aren’t you glad that I did?”
