[Craig ---->]
I opened the door to my impatient mother and tired father. They were holding grocery bags so they had just came from the store.
"What took you so long to answer the door, Craig? I swear you- who is that?" she asked, pointing behind me. I turned around to see Andrea. She came up and smiled.
"Hi, I'm Andrea, you must be Craig's mother." she greeted, holding my hand out for my mom to shake.
"Uh, yeah, Craig can I talk to you for a second in the kitchen?" I sighed as she pushed me into the kitchen not shaking Andrea's hand. She watched as Andrea helped my dad bring the rest of the groceries in. Once they went into the living room, she turned back towards me with her finger in my face.
"Craig, I told you not to bring any of those hutchies in my house!" she whispered, loudly.
"Mom, she has a name, its Andrea and she's not a hutchie. She's actually really nice and helped out alot with Mickel and Serenity." I explained. She looked to the living room then back at me.
"She's not a hutchie, huh? Is she a virgin? Answer me, Craig, don't lie." she scolded, in a whisper. My face twisted in disgust, I was about to throw up.
"I don't know, gosh, mom. That's, ugh, just stop, stop." I shook my head as she walked to the living room with that fake smile, she up to something.
"Wait, ma, whatchu doin?" It was too late, she was already in the living room, oh god. Every time, she does this. Imma be lonely forever.
[Andrea---->]
Craig's dad is very nice, I can see where he gets it from. He told me about how he works for the Shaw electric company in Shelby, NC. That's cool because my dad works there.
"Hey, do you know my dad? His name is Daniel Williams." I asked and he was about to answer but then Craig and his mother came into the living room.
"Andrea, its very nice to meet you. My name is Katrina, I'm Craig's mother." she held her hand out and I shook it.
"Nice to meet you, too, Mrs. Katrina." I smiled. In my head I was like, "Don't screw it up, Drea, don't screw it up." until I looked at Craig behind her like: o-o . When, his mom looked at him he stopped and swallowed hard. Then, she looked back towards me.
"Well, Andrea, would you like to stay for dinner?" she asked, smiling.
"I'd love to, thank you." I nodded.
"Great, I'll make lasagna. Craig, please make her comfortable while I prepare dinner." She walked into the kitchen as Craig came towards me. He pressed his lips against mine, letting go before I could return the kiss.
"You nailed it!" he whispered, smiling with his hands on my shoulders. We forgot all about his dad. He cleared his throat as we sat down in the living room.
"Andrea, this is my dad, Micheal. Dad this is my girl- I mean this is my friend Andrea." Craig stuttered. I had completely forgot about the fact that we hadn't told his parents that we were dating.
"Mhm. Well, Craig, how did you and Andrea meet?" his dad asked.
"Should I or..." I asked Craig and he nodded as I began to tell his dad about the morning.
"Interesting. So, Andrea, do you like my son?" His dad asked and I froze.
"Uh, yeah, I'm going to wake up Mikel and Serenity, come on Drea." Craig said, dragging me upstairs to what appeared to be his room.
"What now?" I asked, panicking but trying to calm myself.
"If they ask anything about me and you dating, you can't change the subject with my mom. Uhm, yeah if my mom ask answer truthfully. I guess it'll be fine." he kissed my cheek and smiled as I kissed his lips. My arms were wrapped around his neck as he was about to wrap his around my waist but then Serenity and Mickel came in and we quickly broke the kiss.
"Uh..." Craig trailed looking at Serenity. She rolled her eyes.
"Mommy said fwoods ready." she picked up Mickel, and struggling, carried him down the stairs.
"Wow." I said, astonished by her behavior.
"You'll get used to it." Craig said, grabbing my hand but let go once we go to the kitchen.
