Chapter 5: Pain

The ground surrounding the concert's vicinity began to shake and crumble. Slowly it rose from the earth and into the air. Ralph had been helping people escape when he noticed the concert floating.

"Stay safe everyone, we're counting on you!"

Psy and Princess jumped off the platform before it went any higher. They landed close to where Ralph was.

"I-I can't help fight them. What else can we do?" Princess asked with a troubled look as people scrambled to safety.

"Relax, I'm sure they will understand. Let's just help get people to safety okay?" Psy held her hand "That'll be more than enough!"

She ran off to evacuate people with Princess by her side.

Az howled at Talai and Yori which formed balls of energy at his mouth. He then started to blast beams at the angels. Talai quickly powered up and created new arm gauntlets around his arms.

"Yori, you ready to take this beast down?" He punched through the beams of energy.

Yori made a thick-bladed sword in her right hand and a shield in the left.
She slashed away the remaining beams and covered herself.

"Yeah! This will be no sweat, sis and I had no problem with this guy last time either."

Some people who hadn't escaped yet were hiding from Az. He sniffed at the air and licked his chops.

"Looks like you may have some collateral damage soon angels! Don't count me out just yet!" He pounced at some people who were cornered.

Talai made a dash towards him and did an uppercut which struck Az right in his jaw. This sent him skidding on the ground and away from the people.

"Yori! Get those people to safety first. Don't worry about me, I got this!" He ordered her and guarded the people close behind him.

Yori did as she was told and ran over to the people. "Hurry, get on my back and hold on to me!"

She dispersed her weapons shortly after when people grabbed on to her. Talai watched as she flew off and carried them away to safety.

Az got up and snorted at Talai "Cheap shot angel, you had to go and ruin my snacks!"

He jumped towards him and howled again which caused even more beams of energy to fly at him. Talai ran at him and collided with his claws.

Yori landed next on the ground to Ralph and let people get off. "Whew, okay! That should be all the remaining people from the area. You all should get home. We'll handle this!"

She brought out her sword and shield again and returned to the concert. Ralph gave her a thumbs up and guided more people out of the area.

"Let's get moving people!"

Various news reporters drove up to the place and began to film the floating concert.

Spades remained in place as invisible energy blades launched at Arch.

"I wonder what excuse you'll have for me this time. Such nonsensical reasons for the last time we spoke."

He raised his arm to the sky and it began to change colors to a bright blood red. Arch held a hand in front of him and a barrier appeared that took in all the blasts before it shattered.

"I can only tell you the truth, you just couldn't accept it despite me helping as much as I could! Not even you could fully comprehend my research."
