Happy Birthday Daddy

"Daddy! Mummy!" James shouted as he came running into Meghan's and Harry's bedroom.

"what?" Meghan asked tiredly

"daddy's birthday!" James shouted and Harry stirred

"happy birthday daddy!" James shouted as Harry woke up to his son wishing him a happy birthday.

"thanks bud..." Harry said smiling

"cake!" James shouted as Harry and meghan broke into laughing.

"later bud... Its still too early for cake." Harry said getting out of bed

"promise?" James asked looking at Harry who stretched

"promise now you go downstairs and see your brother and nanny Marie." Harry said as James went running out of his and Meghan's room.

Harry laughed to himself as he changed into some comfortable clothes.

"what's funny?" Meghan asked as she put her hands around Harry's waist.

"just how old I'm getting it's unbelievable." Harry said Turing around and pulling Meghan closer before kissing her on the lips.

"happy birthday my beautiful husband." Meghan siad as she kisses back.

The  kiss was inturpted by Archie's crying and meghan went into archie's nursery and Harry was left to think by himself. Harry couldn't believe he was already 35 and he couldn't believe that he had 3 beautiful sons and a beautiful to share this occasion with but he wished his mother was still around for these moments like the first steps of her grandsons and Christmas' and birthdays but he knew that the day  she died that she wasn't coming back. He remembered the morning when his father came into his room and William's room and told them the news. Harry remembered that he  didn't want it to be true and he wanted to it be a nightmare and he wanted  his mother  to came back  home  alive and well and he that he could  see her cheeky and fun smile again but that wasn't the case. Harry remembered the crowds and flowers that lined the outside of Kensington Palace where his mother had lived after the dirvoce from Charles and people sobbing and crying and Harry remembered that although he didn't know it at the age of 12. his mother had touched so may lives in her short time on his earth and as a member of the Royal family.

Harry remembered turning 13 a few weeks after his mother's death and feeling empty and incomplete although he had started Eton where his brother was but he had a sense of feeling lost and incomplete that lasted long into adulthood and he remembered all the stupid things he did in his teenage years like drinking and taking drugs and his father taking him to a rehab centre where he met people who lives had been destroyed by drugs and how he stopped using drugs but continued parting and drinking. The only time he felt that he belonged was whne he joined the amry but he couldn't have the carer he wanted because of his royal status.

Harry was snapped out of his trance by Meghan who asked, "Harry?"

"yeah ...." Harry said trying to sound strong

"are you OK?" Meghan asked knowing that Harry wasn't OK

Harry shook his head silently and broke down crying and meghan sat next to him and wrapped her arms around him and Harry's head layed on her chest.

"shhh it's OK..." Meghan soothed

" i miss her Meg...." Harry cried

"I know Harry. She would be so proud of you." Meghan said

"I'm sorry..." Harry said whiping his eyes

"Harry it's OK to cry sometimes we all cry." Meghan said hugging Harry tightly.
