With the help of some people passing by rhyme managed to find out sams dorm number and was now on her way there, her feet carrying her at a slower pace now becoming tired.
However it wasn't from the walking she had been doing; for that wasn't too long but it was from life.
She was exhausted, stressed, scared and lonely.
They say you have to have the bad days to have the good ones but how comes every day lately has been bad for her?
She had recently come off her anti depressants determined to not be popping the pills during her college life and although her therapist was unsure it was a good idea she managed to convince him she would be fine,
she wasn't.
Finally after dragging herself across campus she reached sams room bringing her hand to the door and knocking, her petite hand barely causing any sound she waited no response so she lifted her hand to knock one last time when the door flew open,
The boy before her was ....attractive to say the least and even rhyme could admit that,
His body was built but not too bulky, tattoos scattered on his bare chest and arms, his hair a dark brown shade and when he spoke his voice was laced with a thick English accent.
"whats your name love?" he asked and rhyme's cheeks flushed at the nickname
"rhyme" her voice came out small, she cleared her throat her posture straightening and spoke again "is your room mate in?" getting to the point
"you're here for sam?" he asked confusion laced in his tone
rhyme nodded in reply and he laughed his shoulders shaking
"im sorry its just you're the first girl whos came here asking for....him" he noticed her confused expression stepping aside and gesturing for her to come in.
Rhyme enters the room which is much bigger than hers one side of the room covered with musical instruments, books and loads of cups of coffee?
The other much neater, plain some may say but very him...very sam.
Photos and art pieces hung on his wall and rhyme found herself admiring one of the pieces of work
"he did that ya know?" the tattooed boy spoke from behind rhyme she turned to him raising a eyebrow
"yep that kids got talent....he's a weird one sometimes"
Rhyme found herself intrigued by his words and asked a simple question
"weird how?"
The boy shrugged
"he isn't like the other boys here i mean of course he parties but besides that he's very quiet, keeps himself to himself there was this one girl he told me about once" he looked deep in thought "hurt him pretty bad by the looks of it"
Rhyme felt a pang in her chest knowing very well that girl was her she frowned turning back and looking a the walls.
The more she studied the panting the more she noticed small resemblances to her in it.
She was pulled away from her thoughts when the door opened and he walked in coffees in hand his gaze focused on the floor as he spoke
"blake i got your coff-" he handed the coffee to the boy-blake, sams gaze now on rhyme
"w-what are you doing here? you've been crying why were you crying?" he asked concerned and took a few steps forward
"i'll give you guys a some time to talk" blake spoke up slipping a t-shirt on and leaving in rush.
They both just stood there for a moment before he cleared his throat sitting on his bed and patting the place besides him
"im sorry for showing up like this" she mumbled drumming her fingers against her hand
"its fine" he spoke placing his coffee down
She ran a hand through her hair in frustration running her hands down her face keeping them there
"a picture" she mumbled her hands muffling her speech "tk sent ace a picture and sent it to a group apparently you're in one of them and i don't know what i thought i was going to do coming here maybe ask you to delete it or not think any less of me than you already do because i know i hurt you countless times and you already know im a bad person but i don't want you to think im a slut or something because i am not! i've only ever been with you and tk and now im not with him anymore all because of that stupid photo!" she rambled on he had opened his mouth to speak countless times but was rendered speechless
Her eyes were wide and breathing heavy when she finally looked at him.
She had expected him to be angry, laugh at her or maybe even tell her to leave but he did none of the above
"you're not a bad person rhyme, you're human, we make mistakes, we learn from them and then we move on. I've moved on from the past and stopped beating myself up for things i've done and so should you" his voice was soft and caring she tried to keep it in but she couldn't her eyes gave in tears spilling down her cheeks taking him by surprise
She wrapped her arms around herself sobbing into her own arms
"i am a bad person" she choked out "i really am"
He shook his head taking her into his arms she stilled for a moment before wrapping her arms around him and crying into his chest.
"no you're not rhyme, you're the complete opposite" he whispered into her hair gently kissing it.
