The sky was a purple black color with and orange-y pink near the horizon. the sliver of moon was barely visible. the sun had not completely set, but it was too dark to see the moon.
In the darkness of the sky, there were little stars. not one dimmer than the other. the big dipper, little dipper all right there.
But i, Keeper, was not just sight seeing. i was there on a mission. a mission to start The Clock.
PARIS, FRANCE 1997 (three years before the clock)
"Keeper, take this package to the boss. he wants to see you." Jerome told me.
"Alright. ill see you in a bit, Jerome." i replied.
I took the package, a brown bag sealed shut.
I walked up the creaky stairs to the boss' office. I sucked in a deep breath before opening the door.
"Here's your package sir," i handed it to him.
"Thank you, Keeper. please, sit." he gestured.
I nodded in response, and sat.
"What did you need to tell me?" i asked.
He pulled out his gun. "We thank you for your service. you are no longer needed. i will give you two minutes to leave and forget about this or ill kill you."
Beads of sweat formed on my forehead.
I got out of the chair. "uh, goodbye sir. it was a pleasure working for you."
I left the room without as much as a glance. i was relieved because that job was a threat to my life every single day.
I was scared too. i had just lost a great deal of protection.
At least i still have IKA. I thought to myself.
IKA is International Keeper Association.
But, of course, IKA is in America. so i have to fly back to that crazy place. but i heard there's great chocolate shakes.

"One ticket to America please." I told the woman at the desk.
"17.33, will that be cash or credit?" She asked.
"Cash. keep the change." I gave her twenty dollars, took my ticket and went to the airport.
"Here i come, America." i spoke to myself.
