Why to ship it
If you pay attention to the manga, you know these two come from the same school and know each other before the story shows them. You can also make a gag that their horn buddies with their personalities acting pretty well as a mash.
Why to sink it
Before the Overhaul arc, these two have almost no interaction whatsoever. You only know they have a history in that arc as a way of him being envious of her courage and making a vow to be like her in that category.
Honest opinion
I see this. I see this because of Kirishima being a strong willed man and Ashido being the laid back and happy go lucky lady.
