Chapter 11

Warning: Lance and Matt reuniting scene going to occur so be prepared for some tears being shed and happy moments to be seeeeeen~

Shiro POV

"Well first off yes normally omegas can not become feral because as you said it is an alpha trait." He paused there and sighed sadly. "But there are special occasions where an omega goes feral, and that is if someone they consider to be stronger and very close to them is hurt in any way, like if their mom or dad was to be hurt by an alpha they could protect them. In this case Matt went feral because Lance had been hurt mentally and physically by all of us, the people Lance trusted most besides him, who also happen to be alphas. Lance is a prime omega and him and Matt were very close in the garrison and Matt considered Lance as his superior but also saw how vulnerable he was which made Matt even more protective of him. And when he heard of how bad we treated him he went feral so that he would be able to protect Lance from anymore harm. He'll still be angry and on edge with us from now on so be as nice as possible and do NOT disobey him for any reason. Got it?" Shiro says finishing his speech as everyone nodded wide eyed and looked over to a restless Matt. Shiro speaks again more firm this time. "Alright now let's wait until he wakes up and eat the rest of our breakfast."

Time skip Matt POV

I wake up feeling cranky on edge and as I open my eyes I remember why. I growled at them all making them cower away. "Matt don't growl at them, we all agreed to help Lance, I know that's not enough to atone for our wrongs against him but it's a start. Besides they're just kids now you've made them scared of you." Shiro scolded which earned him a harsh glare which made him sweat and avert his eyes. "I don't give a damn you all hurt Lance in the worst way possible and I am never going to forgive you. Now as I was saying before we are going to clean this castle top to bottom except for Lance's floor as to keep it smelling like him. Any objections?" Matt says icily with no room left for argument. Everyone nodded their head and got their supplies ready starting to clean the castle starting with their rooms. They slowly began to realize that Matt's words were indeed true. Their cleaning or even a robots cleaning was nothing compared to when it was cleaned by Lance. When they cleaned their rooms it didn't smell amazing or look as organized as usual and it broke their hearts to realize this. They tried their hardest to recreate how it would look after being cleaned before but it just never felt right and by the time they finished they were all sniffling with at least one of Lance's articles of clothing. "Now you see how much effort and love Omega's put into cleaning. No one is as good as them at it. They make any and every room feel like home so that their pack and mates will be calm and happy. You're lucky I even let you see Lance's clothing much less hold it but Lance told me to do it when you guys realized what you did wrong so that, and I quote: "At least my scent will help comfort them." Matt says leaving the room the alphas were in and allowing them to cry in peace.

And with that Matt wrote them a note and left in the kitchen. He walked silently up to Lance's old room grabbing a duffle bag of everyone's clothing along with his own and stood in the middle of the room where he was engulfed into an ice blue portal into Lance's tight embrace. "You've done well Matt, now rest I can tell you're exhausted." Matt was indeed exhausted even with a one hour forced sleep. Lance carefully pulled the duffel bag out of Matt's grip and gave it to Lotor whom was right beside him ready to help Matt settle in. Lance picked Matt up like a child and Matt loosely climbed to him like a Koala easily falling asleep with the help of Lance's scent. Lance and Lotor walked to their room and Lance set Matt down on the bed. He grabbed the materials from the bag and only used Coran's and Pidge's scents along with Matt's scent for his nest with Lotor's approval (he used lotor's as well obviously). After carefully arranging the clothing and blankets into a nice sized nest he picked Matt up and set him down in the nest gently pulling a blanket over him smiling as Matt unconsciously pulled the blanket tighter around himself. Lance and Lotor left Matt to his nap and went back to the training room going back to dueling each other happily.

Back with the paladins (time skip to supper cause it's already passed lunch)

Hunk and the others were in the kitchen deciding what they wanted to eat when Pidge spotted the note on the counter and quickly went and picked it up. "Guys I found a note and it's from Matt?" She (canon gender don't get angry at me) says and goes over to the rest of them at the dining table. "It says that he's gone and will be meeting with Lance. He will be coming back at some point in time but he have no indication as to when......dammit.....he left me alone again and on top of that he's mad at me, no, furious with me......big brother why'd you have to go?" Pidge said sadly her voice cracking during her sentence as tears streamed down her face. Hunk sadly took her into his tight embrace and let her cry on his shoulder till she passed out. "I'm gonna take Pidge to her room, can one of you guys cook?" Hunk said picking Pidge up gently. "Yeah I can, you do what you need to do Hunk." Shiro said standing up motioning for hunk to put Pidge in her room. Hunk just nodded and left the room as Shiro started supper.

With Lance (Lance POV)

I had just gotten out of the shower after training when I saw that Matt had started to wake up. I quickly put on some underwear and ran over to give him a tight hug which he quickly returned. "Lance, I missed you so much. I'm sorry that I wasn't there to protect you Lance. I'm so...so sorry." Matt quietly spoke with tears in his eyes. Lance wiped away Matt's tears delicately and held his face in his hands. "You did your best, better than I could have asked for. Don't beat yourself up about it Matt."

Flashback (Lance POV)

I had just woken up from a nightmare in the garrison, and luckily my screaming didn't wake Hunk up. I silently crept out of my room down the Hall to Matt's room. His roomate has just been kicked out of the garrison so he was alone. I knocked on the door and it took a few moments for Matt to answer the door and I was immediately pulled into the room and put down in Matt's nest. He put one of his bunnyhugs on me and then cane over and hugged me wrapping a calming scent around me. "Bad dream Lance?" I just nodded and then told him to get his work so that I could get my mind off of it. We spent the rest of the night reviewing and working until I eventually was able to fall asleep again.

Flashback over

I hadn't realized that I was crying until I smelled the familiar calming scent wrapping around me. "It's in the past Lance, you're doing great. Now let's go get something to eat after you get dressed." Matt says as I pull away and look at his small smile. I nod and get up putting on a pair of black leggings and an Ice blue cropped t-shirt. "Alright now lets go." Lance said pulling Matt up and out of the room showing him around before going to the dining room. "Hey everyone, meet Matt. Is it alright if he stays with us?" Lance announces to Lotor and his generals along with Hagar and Zarkon.

"Of course he can, any friends of yours are welcome here Lance." Hagar says as she motions for them to sit. Lance looks at lotors side, the side that was usually open as it was reserved for his mate, but this time it wasn't open as Ezor was sitting there and went as far as holding hands with Lotor who tried to make her stop but she just continued. Lance's skin went pale almost white as ice formed into spear like chunks around his body. He walked closer to the pair and cracked his knuckles getting their attention. Ezor looked scared and tried to hold onto Lotor but with swipe of his hand she was pinned to the floor and Lotor was brought behind Lance. "I warned you bitch, now you're gonna get punished. No one touches my mate, EVER!"

A bit shorter than usual but I wanted to get this up as like a little filler chapter. Now since Matt is an omega I will be making a pairing for him but.....who do you want him to be with, or do you even want him to be paired with someone at all? Comment the name of the person you'd want Matt to be paired with and their status (all statuses of the altean, galran, and humans will be posted on my message board).
