One day, an unknown virus brought the world to a sudden end. Only the children survived. Those children were enslaved by the creatures that arose from the depths of the earth...

Vampires.

Those adults who actually managed to stay alive even if it was an hour after the virus spread, were killed by blood loss-- just like my mother.

"Mommy," my body trembles with fright. I hold my hands out in front of me with my palms facing up. My hands were shaking from the fear that coursed through my veins, my eyes widen by fright and panic. "Mommy, I'm scared."

Blood was running down the brown wooden floor, coming towards me. My white night gown has blood splatters all over the from of it. Blood was also splattered on my face while some drips from my hands down onto the ground.

My eyes catch the crimson color, the smell of iron and other metallic scents that were in the blood making me hunger. This was first time I've ever felt my teeth sharpen into fangs. My stomach growls with hunger.

"I-it's okay, honey," my mother barely manages to say without a shake in her voice. The vampire squeezes her throat tightly causing her to give a tiny choke. "Just don't-don't take any human blood and you'll continue to grow up like you're a human."

A snapping noise could be heard throughout the room. I stop shaking, frozen. My mother's body when limp, her hand falling to her side. It swing softly back and forth then stops. I stiffle a scream. The man that introduced himself as my dad stalks towards me, dropping my mother to the ground as he walks. My (e/c) eyes continue to stay on my mothers pretty face.

Emotions ran through my eight year old body. I wanted to scream out in anger for the loss of my mother but cry out in pain that I lost her; I lost someone I loved, someone who was close to me and held me so dearly to her heart. I hate this man with such a fire passion but I couldn't move a muscle.

My father laughs. He kneels down in front of my, pushing my flaming red hair behind my ear. Tears start to fall down my face from fear. Dad chuckles, wiping them away. I flinch at his touch.

"Do you really think I have a reason to hurt you?" He questions. I nod my head. "Why's that?"

"It's because you killed my mommy," I start to openly cry right now. Dad pulls me into a hug, one I didn't feel any love in at all.

"No, love. No, no, no," he pulls away, pushing my hair behind my ear once more. "I would never harm a hair on your body. I just wanted to you come with me." I wipe my tears away.

"Where are we going?" I question, tears in my voice. Dad grabs my arm as he stands up.

"We're going home," he replies, walking me out of the door.

The outside world I once knew as peaceful, calm, and beautiful was now an angry red color. I scream, hiding my face behind dad's legs. The outside world was ugly. The trees and building were burning. Smoke fills the sky and air, making it hard to even breath let alone see.

He walks us to where there were more people, kids and vampires both. The sound of crying fills the air. I look around seeing the tearful faces of you get kids holding onto each other like their lives depended on it. The vampires were covered in cloaks, their faces hidden by the hood of the cloak. Only two people- both vampires- had no cloaks on their body. One was a young looking girl. She had pink hair with two black hair pieces on her head. She was wearing a pretty black dress along with some black knee high boots.

Her fangs poke out of her mouth as she smiles at everyone. She looks at me in particular. Her smile grows a bit fonder. She walks towards me at a medium pace.

When she reaches me, she places both of her hands on my face. One, she rakes through my left side of my hair while the other she places it on my right cheek. A soft fond smile is placed on her face.

"My sweet, dear sister," she speaks kindly. My mouth drops open. This girl, was my sister?

The other vampire who wasn't cloaked walks up to us. His long silver hair was pulled back by a black ribbon. He was wearing a white formal outfit of sorts. At his side was a sword. The look in his eyes set me off a bit, causing me to step back.

"Who are you? What are you doing to me? Where are you taking me?" Tears form in my eyes again. My body begins to shake violently once more.

"We're your new family now," the silver haired vampire smirks. "And we're taking you home."
