"Would you get out of my way!" Sam shouts at Raikunai.
"I was here first," He says.
"I'm getting tired of you two fighting all the time. Sam come here on my left and Raikunai you are on my right and if I hear another word from both of you I will lose my cool okay?" I blurt out. They are starting to annoy me.
"ugh fine!" They both say in unison.
*Some time pass*
We are close to my father's last seen. It's a huge abandoned warehouse with plants everywhere. It looks like there has not been any human activity in a very long time. We got closer to the rusted gate that was pushed open when we noticed someone. There were a lot of guards coming from inside the building but they looked sort of weak. That's not what I know robots to look like. They are all walking behind each other. I can see a rope around one of each of their ankles keeping them from running away...but why? Moments pass and it hits me like a sled hammer. They are not robots. They are human!
"Sam!" I nudge her.
"What?"
"Do they look...unnatural...like for robots?"
"Yes, a little bit but what is your point?"
"They are not robots Sam. They are humans. There are more humans left besides me. We have to save them now"
Sam looks speechless to the point that she almost shuts down. Raikunai comes to us and helps Sam back on her feet. He opens her back and restarts her. She calms down and looks normal again for a robot.
"What did you tell her Franky?" Raikunai asks me with a face full of confusion.
"They are keeping those humans...as slaves"
"What? Oh yes, I remember when I first started working for your father he used to tell me about his new experiment. He erased some of my memory before he left for this big mission. But I remember something about uh underground human... something"
"Is there a way we can get your memory back?" I ask
"I don't know"
"I know but it's going to be a tough case," Sam says
Just before Sam can explain how we can get Raikunai's memories back we hear a person scream. A robot is busy hurting a human woman. The woman tried to loosen her rope and the robot thought she wanted to escape so he started punching her. The brutal robot pulled on the rope to get the other humans to follow him. The beaten-up woman was on the ground knocked out. The robot must have thought that she was dead so he left her. We look around to see if there are any more robots near us. We saw no one and I ran out towards the woman.
"What are you doing? She is dead. Come back, Franky!" Sam says
"No, she is not. I'm not letting her die here. She is one of my people."
I ran out and sat next to the woman. She was still breathing. There is still time. She has a big scar on her thigh. It looks like a symbol. It looks like it was burnt into her skin. The woman opened her eyes and started yelling bloody murder. I held her mouth closed to stop her from letting other robots know she is alive and that we are here.
"Shh please calm down I'm here to help you I'm like you. I'm human too."
"What? How are you not here with us?" She asks
"I thought I was alone too but we can talk about this later so please come with me" I lead her to our hideout.
"Why are they here?" She asks as she sees Sam and Raikunai.
I calmed her down and told her that they are not the bad guys. It was a while that we sat with the woman and talked. She told us everything that had happened and by the time we knew it, it was dark. We found a spot to sleep for the night.
*The Next Morning*
I woke up with Raikunai next to me. I love him so close to me. I wish I could just stay that way but obviously, the moment had to get interrupted by Sam calling us with pure shock in her voice.
"What?" I asked
"The girl is gone!"
"What? How?"
"I don't know but we need to move and fast I see your father, Franky"
I felt my heart completely stop. I am not ready for this but I can't run away from what I have to do. I stood up and woke up Raikunai. He says my father and helped us pack up our stuff. Just then a guard shot at us and hit me in my leg. The pain made me fall and Raikunai tried to fend off the guards approaching us. Sam tried to stop my leg from bleeding but the blood was too much. I fainted and the last thing I saw was Sam being shot in the head.
"Sam..."
