Sophie and Fitz- The date pt. 2

Hey y'all! What's up? First, I wanted to say that I'm sorry I kind of suddenly switched who I shipped Sophie with. Please don't hate me! Just, here me out. I was rereading the series and noticed a few things. Keefe was always there for Sophie and Sophie was always there for Keefe. She was there when he needed her when his mom was with the Neverseen and was there when he was trying to figure stuff out. He makes her laugh when she's sad and can be serious when she needs him to be. They need each other for balance and it would make them happy. Also, Fitz is just too in his head to deserve Sophie. I don't think Fitz is a bad character, but I do think that he has room for character development. He cares for himself a lot, oh and let's not forget how close he was to killing his brother! Now, I think that if Shannon were to make Fitz a little more relatable and likable, I would totally ship it again! But, for now, I will ship Sokeefe. I won't apologize for shipping it, but I will apologize for changing so suddenly.

Alright, now that, that rant is over with, I will be giving you guys the long awaited part two. Y'all already get the basic idea of what's going to happen, but here we go! Kinda need it to continue the story.

In real life, Sophie's POV

I followed Fitz out the door, making sure my hair didn't come out of its updo from when I walked down the stairs. I didn't want Fitz to think I was ugly on the first date! Well, sort of first date. Does the stuff that happened in Moonglade count? I don't know, but I do know that this is my first official date with the boy I have been dreaming of going out with for the last couple of years! I mean, who gets the chance to go out with their first crush?! Anyways, I was insanely nervous for this date. I had to make sure not to pull out any eyelashes in order to not mess up my makeup. I had to be as perfect as him in order to get him to like me more.

"You okay, Soph?" My beloved teal eyed boyfriend asked. I struggled with my words, but came up with nothing better than:

"Yeah, I'm good. Just excited!" I replied. Gosh! I sound so stupid. He probably thinks I sound like an idiot. He nodded in response.

"Yeah. Me too." He mumbled. Fitz pulled out is pathfinder and took us to wherever he wanted our date to be at. He picked a facet and created a beam of light, stepping into it with it taking us to anywhere we wanted to go. When I opened my eyes again, I was met with a beach. The beach with the hidden bottle to get to Atlantis.

"Atlantis? Really?" I asked Fitz as he went to find the whirlpool bottle. Once he did, he uncorked it creating a miniature whirlpool. Now, this was the part that always freaked me out. Jumping into a pool of swirling water? Not my forte.

"Want to go first?" He asked. I just shook my head signifying a no. He nodded and jumped in.

'You can do this, Sophie' I thought to myself 'You have battled the Neverseen numerous times, have almost died on multiple occasions, and grew up in the human world. You can jump in a freaking whirlpool!' With that, I jumped. I jumped and landed right on top of Fitz. Of course I did. I quickly got up and helped him up.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I should have waited a few minutes before jumping!" I apologized quickly. He gave a forced smile.

"It's alright, Soph. No major damage. C'mon, let's go." He said and grabbed my hand. We walked to a nice restaurant and got some delicious elvin food. Afterwards, we went window shopping. The entire time I was with him, although he was sweet and cute, I couldn't help but worry about silly things like my hair, my makeup and what he thought of my dress. It was hard for me to have a good time.

"Hey, we still have a lot of time before Grady wants you home. Where do you want to go?" He asked. How, sweet. He was asking where I wanted to go.

"How about we get away from all these people. Somewhere I won't get any dirty looks from anyone." I suggested. It was true. Elves kept looking at me and whispering. Then, they would glare or move away from us. I guess that's what it's like to be the girl from the forbidden cities with all the weird abilities.
