we were making our way through town as the fourth of july parade went on, while walking through main street richie grabbed a poor band players tuba and started playing it in his own tunes. the man grabbed it back causing richie to get offended and i roll my eyes with a laugh focusing on everyone else and the missing poster, noticing eddie now holding two ice creams

"i actually think it will end. for a little while at least." ben shared and i looked at him curiously

"what do you mean?" bev asked

"i was going over all my derry research, and i charted out all the big events. the ironworks explosion in 1908, the bradley gang in 35, and the black spot in 62. and now kids being... i realized this stuff seems to happen, every 27 years" ben finished, him and bill saying the last bit at the same time. we stand there in silence before we all make our way to the park and sit at a bench near the giant paul bunyan statue.

"it comes out from wherever to eat kids for like a year? and than what? it just goes into hibernation?" eddie questioned confused as we all sit on either the park bench or the bikes, i was sitting beside bev kn the bench.

"maybe its like cicadas. the bugs that comes out once every seventeen years" stanley suggests and mike starts talking

"my grandfather thinks this town is cursed. he says that, all the bad things that happen in this town are because of one thing. an evil thing that feeds off the people of derry." mike adds and i sit in thought

"but it can't be one thing. we all say something different." stan argued and mile shook his head

"maybe. or maybe it knows what scares us the most and thats what we see." mike suggests

"i saw a leper. he was like a walking infection." eddie confessed sounds disgusted

"but you didn't. because it isn't real. none of this is. not eddies leper. or bill seeing georgie. or the woman i keep seeing." stan argued sounds nervous

"she hot?" richie asked and i rolled my eyes once again

"no richie. she's not hot. her face is all messed up. none of this makes any sense. they're all like bad dreams." stan argued

"just because it doesn't make sense, doesn't mean its not real stan" i speak up picking at the paint beside me on the bench

"i know the difference between a bad dream and real life okay?" mike explained

"what did you see? you saw something too?" eddie asked mike, i was thankful no one had wondered what i saw yet

"yes. i was inside that house that burned down. my parents were too. before i was rescued they were in the room next to me. i could hear them pushing and pounding on the door, trying to get to me. but it was too hot. when the firemen finally found them, the skin on their hands had melted down to the bone. we're all afraid of something." mike explained and we all sat thinking

"wh-wh-what did you s-see ab-abbie?" bill asked and i stopping picking at the paint, feeling everyones eyes on me

"um. i saw, my mom" i said slowly at first, trying not to relive the moment

"she was sitting on her bed acting all weird than it had a dirty messed up face and her eyes were missing, it tried attacking me and i crawled out of my parents room and when i turned around the clown was staring at me in the mirror and the entire room was full of red balloons. than when i shut the door it started banging on it screaming at me. i waited awhile than when i opened it there was writing on the wall above their headboard saying we all float, written in blood" i explain with fear in my voice.
