Ashton's POV (Tuesday part three.)
Once we got to where Calum had planned the date, to say I was speechless was an understatement. I had never seen anything more beautiful, of course other than Calum, than what he had done, and where he had put the date. It was by a small stream, nature all around us. You couldn't hear the cars, or the children running around playing in the streets.
There was a small little checkered blanket with a basket laying on top of it. He had a small boom box on the side with some soft music playing in the background. The entire thing overall was not much, but it was enough to blew me away.
He looked at me, biting his lower lip. He held a nervous facial expression. "Do you like it?" I just stared at him. I couldn't believe he would think I wouldn't like it. Rather than answered him, I wrapped my arms around his neck and placed my lips on his. He responded quickly and moved his lips against mine, wrapping his own arms around my waist. He bag in his hand kept bumping into my legs, although I didn't mind. I pulled apart and placed my forehead on his, a smile never leaving my face or his.
"So is that a yes?" He asked.
"Of course it's a yes, now c'mon, we still have a date." I said, giggling. Wiggling go of his embrace, I took his hand, interlocking it with mine and skip towards the blanket. I sat down, he sat next to me, pulling the basket closer him. It was beautiful, he was beautiful, everything just seemed so beautiful, and it was all thanks to Calum. "This is all so amazing, thank you."
"You deserve nothing less than amazing," he replied with a fond smile on his face. "I can't exactly make much food, so I hope sandwiches are good? Cliche, I know but that's really the only thing I can make."
I giggled and placed a kiss on his cheek. The thought of him trying made me happy. He simply just made me happy. "It's more than good."
He handed me a sandwich and we ate in peace. I watched as the stream would flow at what I believe was south, listening to the rush of it. I could feel Calum staring at me, so I decided to turn to him. I saw him looking at me with a massive grin on his face, like he's just won a great award.
"You're absolutely beautiful, you know?" He said. I blushed and looked down at my hand. He was too good for me, and even a blind person would be able to see that.
Calum put down his food and went to the bag of treats we got. He pulled out the bottle of wine and uncoiled the lid. He placed the bottle in between his legs and from the basket, he pulled out two plastic cups. He filled both cups and handed me one.
"Cheers," he said.
* * * (small little time skip, still the same night obviously)
It was a bit after 10 pm, we were both a little giggly and tipsy. We no longer had any wine, that was gone an hour or so ago. We were kind of just laying, looking up at the stars, cuddling. My head was on his chest, his arm was around my waist. I couldn't have asked for a better first date because there is no such thing.
"I really like you, you know?" He said out of no where.
I titled my head up a little, so I could see him better. He was looking down at me, his eyes shining, his hair a little messy, but he still looked beautiful.
"Why me?" I asked.
"Why you, what?" He furrowed his eyebrows, with a confused look on his face.
"Out of everyone, why me? I mean, you're so young, and I'm so hopeless. You've lived, whereas today was the most dangerous and scary thing I've ever done in my life. Why me?"
He looked at me, with a blank stare at first, probably not expecting what I had just said to him. I don't blame him, I wouldn't have expected that to come from me either. His stare went from a blank stare to a soft smile.
"I don't know. I think it's the way you blush whenever I completement you, and your perspective on the world. The way you smile, no matter how sad you are. It's the way you laugh whenever I say something lame or stupid. Maybe it was the way you fiddle with your fingers whenever you're nervous, and it's the way you bounce up and down whenever you're excited. And maybe I don't now why I picked you out of everyone else on Earth, but I do know I wouldn't have it any other way."
