Summer Break

Chapter 1

Hiccup's POV

"Come on.. Come on.." I mumbled to myself as I stared at the clock. It was 5 seconds to 12 which means 5 seconds to summer break.

I've been stuck here in high school since I moved a few months ago. Well.. This is Berk. It's my new home. I never thought that I could go this far. Oh you know.. Passing exams, doing projects, making new friends, stuffs.. And then there's one more thing you need to know.

I turn around to see a blonde hair girl, sitting in the corner with the same point which was waiting for summer break.

You see that girl?

She smiled at me.

That's Astrid. You might not be expecting this but she's like the most precious thing I ever had since I moved here. She's my girlfriend.

Surprised? Not so much.

Weird? Yeah..

True? Yep.

I'm pretty much the luckiest guy ever lived here. Well, you do know how hard it is to win a girl's heart..

I smiled as I glanced back at the clock. The bell finally rang. Everyone cheered and rushed outside, saying 'goodbyes' and 'see yous'.

I walk to my locker to tidy my books. It's awkward.

I opened my locker door and the first thing I saw was my pictures and drawings. Mostly Astrids. I'm just so sweet, I know..

I put my books inside and held a photo of me and Astrid when we went to the arcade. I couldn't stop myself to stare at it because of one reason.

She looks really beautiful there.

I sighed and smiled.

Astrid's POV

"Where is he?" I thought when I saw his backpack not on his table. He's never going this early.. I mean, he's always home late.

I decided to walk to the halls. I finally found him standing in front of his locker, carrying his backpack with one hand. He's holding a piece of.. I don't know.. Something?

I walk to him and peep.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Ahh!" He look at me, surprised. He put that something he held on his locker and closed the door. "You scared me.."

"I scared you?" I raised an eyebrow.

He sighed. "Yeah.. I supposed.. Something wrong?"

I believed he tried to change the topic so I won't be able to ask what he was holding. So, I shook my head in reply.

"Just wondering if you might have any plans on going somewhere this summer break. Do you happen to have any?"

He shook his head. "No.. I don't think I have one.."

"Okay.. Let's just go home.."

Hiccup's POV

That was close. I never knew why I won't let her see those pics and stuffs. It's just embarassing. My mind is filled with 'what ifs' if I lend her those.

Anyway.. She was asking me if I might have any plans this summer. Believe me. She meant by going out to another country or town.

I don't know.. Really.. I mean, there's quite a lot of things to explore here on Berk. And why would you even go somewhere when you could just chill at home with your pet.

As for me, I ain't leaving Berk this summer. Just no..

We finally arrived at Astrid's house. She smiled and gave me a hug.

"I'll see you soon.. And I'll call you sometime.." She said.

I nodded as she walk to the door.

"You coming in?" She asked.

"Nah.. I'll just go straight home.." I smiled and waved.

"Okay then.. I'll see you soon.." She waved back.

Ugh my hands are tired of typing. That's chapter 1 guys. I'll be updating soon. Maybe.. If I don't have any homeworks..
