I feel like a footballer, walking out into a stadium with excitement waiting to win a football match.

I look around the place and take in the atmosphere.

"Wow this is amazing" I say as I begin to walk into what is called 'The Pink Zone' in the standing area.

"Isn't it just" a voice says behind me.

I don't recognise this voice but I continue to walk ahead.

"It's been a dream of mine"

I stop and look at the ground.

"To perform in front of millions of fans with my band."

I'm met with a pair of glossy blue eyes. Wow this boy looks amazing! He's tall and has lovely shinning blonde hair and a lip ring that makes his lips look so kissable.

"And you are?" I ask, not knowing who this beautiful boy is.

"Luke, uh, Hemmings... Luke Hemmings. I'm in the band 5 Seconds of Summer, we're the supporting act"

"Really?, that's great! I'm Jess, Jess Higgins."

Luke put out his hand to shake mine and I gladly accept.

His hands are so soft and long. We both lock eyes and just stand there, staring at each other in deep thought for what felt like a lifetime.

We let go hands and laugh about what just happened.

This boy, there's just something about him. I don't know what but I feel really comfortable around him.

I start to blush and look down at my sleeves, noticing that my sleeves are pushed up. My scars are noticeable. I quickly push them down, gasping at how lucky I have escaped from Luke finding them.

Luke gives me a worrying look. He looks like he knows what's going on.

"Jess, I know you have only met me but are you okay?"

I look at Luke in confusion wondering why he would ask me such a simple question.

"I'm okay, excited actually" I announce.

"No Jess, I mean, look I'm no fool, I know when someone is broken. My best friend that is more like a brother to me has had a very bad time and was broken. So, let me ask you again, are you okay?"

I look at Luke deep in the eyes. He knows. He saw them. I've ruined everything.

"I'm sorry Luke" I say running past him.

"No Jess wait!" I hear him call behind me.

Tears begin to stream down my face. The one time that someone is actually interested to talk to me, I blow it, just like every other time.
